Amendment of Class E Airspace; Monroe, GA
This action amends Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface in Monroe-Walton County Airport, Monroe, GA, to accommodate airspace reconfiguration due to the decommissioning of the Monroe non-directional radio beacon and cancellation of the NDB approach. Controlled airspace is necessary for the safety and management of instrument flight rules (IFR) operations at this airport. This action also updates the geographic coordinates of this airport.
Airworthiness Directives; Bombardier, Inc., Airplanes
We are revising an earlier proposal for certain Bombardier, Inc., Model DHC-8-400 series airplanes. This action revises the notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) by adding a requirement to replace the lower lock link of the nose landing gear (NLG), which would terminate the repetitive inspections proposed in the NPRM. This action also reduces the applicability in the NPRM. We are proposing this airworthiness directive (AD) to address the unsafe condition on these products. Since these actions would impose an additional burden over those in the NPRM, we are reopening the comment period to allow the public the chance to comment on these changes.
Airworthiness Directives; Airbus SAS Airplanes
The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus SAS Model A321-111, A321-112, A321-131, A321-211, A321- 212, A321-213, A321-231 and A321-232 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a quality control review, which determined that the wrong aluminum alloy was used to manufacture several structural parts. This proposed AD would require a one-time eddy current conductivity measurement of certain structural parts of the outer flaps to determine if the incorrect alloy was used, and replacement if necessary, as specified in an European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which will be incorporated by reference. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Notice of Opportunity for Public Comment on a Request To Release Surplus Property at the Vidalia Regional Airport, Vidalia, Georgia
FAA is considering a request from the City of Vidalia to waive the requirement that 6.11 acres of surplus property located at the Vidalia Regional Airport be used for aeronautical purposes. Currently, the ownership of the property provides for the protection of FAR Part 77 surfaces and compatible land use which would continue to be protected with deed restrictions required in the transfer of land ownership. The land is owned and operated by the airport, but not currently in use or planned for aeronautical use.
Airworthiness Directives; Bombardier, Inc., Airplanes
We are superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2008-24-14, which applied to all Bombardier, Inc., Model CL-600-2B19 (Regional Jet Series 100 & 440) airplanes. AD 2008-24-14 required revising the instructions for continued airworthiness to incorporate certain airworthiness limitations for the main landing gear (MLG) trunnion fitting assembly. This AD requires revising the maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate certain airworthiness limitations (AWLs). This AD also requires reworking the trunnion fitting in order to meet new structural safe-life limits. This AD was prompted by reports of cracks on the MLG trunnion fitting during fatigue testing; the introduction of new AWL tasks with revised inspection, modification, and safe-life requirements; and a determination that the trunnion fitting lower flange and both forward and aft bore holes are also subject to fatigue cracking. We are issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

Agency Information Collection Activities: Requests for Comments; Clearance of a Renewed Approval of Information Collection: Application for Employment With the Federal Aviation Administration; Correction
This notice is a Correction to the notice published on May 14, 2019, due to invalid Docket number, updated comment deadline, as well as clarification for Respondents and their Frequency. In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, FAA invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval to renew an information collection. The collection involves an automated application process for employment with the Federal Aviation Administration. Applicants access an online form that is presented with requests for certain information. The information collected is necessary to determine basic eligibility for employment and potential eligibility for Veteran's Preference, Veteran's Readjustment Act, and People with Disability appointments. In addition, there are specific occupation questions that assist the FAA Office of Human Resource Management (AHR) in determining candidates' qualifications in order that the best-qualified candidates are hired for the many FAA occupations.
Airworthiness Directives; The Boeing Company Airplanes
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all The Boeing Company Model 737-100, -200, -200C, -300, -400, and -500 series airplanes. This AD was prompted by reports of cracks caused by corrosion of the edge of the bore of the spot face and corrosion of the lug bore of certain side-strut support fitting lugs. This AD requires repetitive detailed inspections of the left and right side-strut support fitting lugs with bushings installed for any corrosion, any crack, or any severed lug; repetitive detailed and high frequency eddy current (HFEC) inspections of the left and right side-strut support fitting lugs with bushings removed for any corrosion or any crack; and applicable on-condition actions. We are issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; Airbus SAS Airplanes
We propose to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2018-26- 07, which applies to all Airbus SAS Model A350-941 and -1041 airplanes. AD 2018-26-07 requires repetitive greasing of the thrust reverser actuators (TRAs), dispatch restrictions, and maintenance procedure revisions. Since we issued AD 2018-26-07, we are now proposing to add a requirement to replace the TRAs, which AD 2018-26-07 specified was not required at the time to provide the opportunity for the public to comment on the merits of that action. This proposed AD would require actions specified in an European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which will be incorporated by reference. We are proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Proposed Establishment of Class E Airspace; Minersville, PA
This action proposes to establish Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface at Primrose Heliport, Minersville, PA, to accommodate new area navigation (RNAV) global positioning system (GPS) standard instrument approach procedures serving this heliport. Controlled airspace is necessary for the safety and management of instrument flight rules (IFR) operations at this heliport.
Proposed Amendment of Class E Airspace; Marion, OH
This action proposes to amend the Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface at Marion Municipal Airport, Marion, OH. The FAA is proposing this action as the result of an airspace review caused by the decommissioning of the Marion localizer/ distance measuring equipment (LOC/DME) navigation aid, which provided navigation information for the instrument procedures at this airport. Airspace redesign is necessary for the safety and management of instrument flight rules (IFR) operations at this airport.
Amendment of the Class D and Class E Airspace; Tulsa, OK
This action modifies the Class D airspace and Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface at Richard Lloyd Jones Jr. Airport, Tulsa, OK, and the Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface at William R. Pogue Municipal Airport, Sand Springs, OK, which is contained within the Tulsa, OK, airspace legal description. This action is due to an airspace review caused by the decommissioning of the Glenpool VHF omnidirectional range (VOR), which provided navigation information to the instrument procedures at this airport, as part of the VOR Minimum Operational Network (MON) Program. The geographic coordinates of the Richard Lloyd Jones Jr. Airport are also being updated to coincide with the FAA's aeronautical database.

This action modifies the Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface and the Class E airspace extending upward from 1,200 feet above the surface at Schoolcraft County Airport, Manistique, MI. This action is due to an airspace review caused by the decommissioning of the Schoolcraft VHF omnidirectional range (VOR), which provided navigation information to the instrument procedures at this airport, as part of the VOR Minimum Operational Network (MON) Program. The geographic coordinates of Schoolcraft County Airport are also being updated to coincide with the FAA's aeronautic database. Airspace redesign is necessary for the safety and management of instrument flight rules (IFR) operations at this airport.

The geographic coordinates of the airport are also being updated to coincide with the FAA's aeronautical database.
Airworthiness Directives; Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. Airplanes
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. Models PC-6, PC-6/350, PC-6/350-H1, PC-6/350-H2, PC-6/A, PC-6/A-H1, PC-6/A-H2, PC-6/B-H2, PC-6/B1-H2, PC-6/B2-H2, PC-6/ B2-H4, PC-6/C-H2, PC-6/C1-H2, PC-6-H1, and PC-6-H2 airplanes. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as sheared or missing rivets on the horizontal stabilizer hinge bracket assemblies. The FAA is issuing this AD to require actions to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; BRP-Rotax GmbH & Co KG Engines
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain BRP-Rotax GmbH & Co KG (Rotax) 912 and 914 model engines. This AD was prompted by power loss and engine revolutions per minute (RPM) drop on certain Rotax 912 and 914 model engines due to a quality control deficiency in the manufacturing process of certain valve push-rod assemblies resulting in partial wear on the rocker arm ball socket and possible malfunction of the valve. This AD requires one-time inspection and, depending on the findings, replacement of the affected parts with parts eligible for installation. We are issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Special Conditions: Greenpoint Technologies, Inc., Boeing Model 787-8 Airplane; Dynamic Test Requirements for Single-Occupant, Side-Facing Seats With Airbag Devices in Shoulder Belts
These amended special conditions are issued for the Boeing Model 787-8 airplane. This amendment removes reference to leg-flail airbags and adds reference to leg-flail devices installed on side- facing seats. This airplane, as modified by Greenpoint Technologies, Inc. (Greenpoint), will have a novel or unusual design feature when compared to the state of technology envisioned in the airworthiness standards for transport category airplanes. This design feature is single-occupant, side-facing seats with airbag devices in shoulder belts, and a floor-level, leg-flail-prevention device to limit the axial rotation of the upper leg. The applicable airworthiness regulations do not contain adequate or appropriate safety standards for this design feature. These special conditions contain the additional safety standards that the Administrator considers necessary to establish a level of safety equivalent to that established by the existing airworthiness standards.
Airworthiness Directives; Airbus SAS Airplanes
We propose to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus SAS Model A320-214 and -271N airplanes and Model A321- 211 and -231 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a test of a new wall partition for a certain cabin attendant seat model that revealed the backrest was permanently deformed and did not allow the seat pan to return to a full-up position; investigation results identified that a heat treatment had not been applied on certain backframes. This proposed AD would require modifying the affected cabin attendant seats, as specified in an European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which will be incorporated by reference. We are proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; Piaggio Aero Industries S.p.A. Airplanes
The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Piaggio Aero Industries S.p.A. Model P-180 Airplanes. This proposed AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) originated by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as insufficient sealing of a steering select/ bypass valve installed in the nose landing gear (NLG) manifold. The FAA is proposing this AD to require actions that address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; Airbus SAS Airplanes
We propose to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus SAS Model A350-941 and -1041 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of disconnections of certain hinge arms of the bulk cargo door (BCD) due to disbonding of the hinge arm bushes. This proposed AD would require either modifying and re-identifying affected BCDs or replacing affected BCDs, as specified in an European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD. We are proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Amendment of Class E Airspace; Fort Payne, AL
This action amends Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface in Isbell Field Airport, Fort Payne, AL, to accommodate airspace reconfiguration due to the decommissioning of the Fort Payne non-directional radio beacon and cancellation of the NDB approach. Controlled airspace is necessary for the safety and management of instrument flight rules (IFR) operations at this airport. This action also updates the airport name and geographic coordinates. In addition, this action updates the name and geographic coordinates of Dekalb Regional Medical Center Heliport, which is contained within the legal description of the Isbell Field Airport airspace.
Membership in the National Parks Overflights Advisory Group
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Park Service (NPS) invite interested persons to apply to fill one current and two upcoming vacancies on the National Parks Overflights Advisory Group (NPOAG). This notice invites interested persons to apply to fill the openings. The current opening represents Native American tribal concerns and the two upcoming openings represent air tour operator interests and environmental concerns, respectively.

Controlled airspace is necessary for the safety and management of instrument flight rules (IFR) operations in the area.
Removal of Check Pilot Medical Certificate Requirement
This action would update regulatory text so as to remove inconsistencies applicable to check pilots and flight instructors in domestic, flag, and supplemental operations and flight instructors in commuter and on demand operations so that check pilots and flight instructors can continue to perform their functions in aircraft without a medical certificate, unless they are serving as required flightcrew members. The FAA also proposes to remove the medical certificate requirement for check pilots in commuter and on demand operations who perform their functions in aircraft and are not serving as required flightcrew members. Removing the medical certificate requirement would enable pilots who are otherwise qualified, to function as check pilots in aircraft.
Amendment of Class E Airspace; Madera, CA
This action proposes to modify the Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface at Madera Municipal Airport, Madera, CA, eliminate references to the Clovis and Friant Very High Frequency Omni-Directional Range/Tactical Air Navigation Aids (VORTAC), and update the airports geographic coordinates to match the FAA's current aeronautical database. In addition, this action would update the airspace lateral dimensions to meet current requirements by removing 4.4 miles of airspace extending to the southeast, adding 0.4 miles to the radius around the Airport Reference Point and adding a portion that extends 1 mile either side of 316[deg] bearing from the 4.4 mile radius to 1.5 miles northwest. This action would support the operation of Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) under standard instrument approach and departure procedures in the National Airspace System.
Airworthiness Directives; Viking Air Limited (Type Certificate Previously Held by Bombardier Inc.; de Havilland, Inc.) Airplanes
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Viking Air Limited (Viking) Models DHC-6-1, DHC-6-100, DHC-6-200, DHC- 6-300, and DHC-6-400 airplanes. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by the aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as occurrences of excessive wear of elevator cables at pulley location station (STA) 270.3. The FAA is issuing this AD to require actions to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Streamlined Launch and Reentry Licensing Requirements; Extension of Comment Period
This action extends the comment period for an NPRM that was published on April 15, 2019. In that document, the FAA proposed to streamline and increase the flexibility in the FAA's commercial space launch and reentry regulations. This action would consolidate and revise multiple regulatory parts and apply a single set of licensing and safety regulations across several types of operations and vehicles. The FAA is extending the comment period closing date to allow commenters time to adequately analyze the proposed rule and prepare response.
Airworthiness Directives; Pratt & Whitney Turbofan Engines
The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Pratt & Whitney (PW) PW1519G, PW1521G, PW1521GA, PW1524G, PW1525G, PW1521G-3, PW1524G-3, PW1525G-3, PW1919G, PW1921G, PW1922G, PW1923G, and PW1923G-A model turbofan engines. This proposed AD was prompted by corrosion found on the high-pressure compressor (HPC) front hub, which could result in certain HPC front hubs cracking before reaching their published life limit. This proposed AD would require revisions to the Airworthiness Limitations Section (ALS) of the manufacturer's Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) and air carrier's approved Continued Airworthiness Maintenance Programs (CAMP) to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

The Federal Register Notice with a 60-day comment period soliciting comments on the following collection of information was published on March 11, 2019. The collection involves data from airport sponsors and planning agencies to determine eligibility, and to ensure proper use of Federal funds and project accomplishments for the Airport Improvement Program. This is the 30-day notice.
Airworthiness Directives; Embraer S.A. Airplanes
We propose to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Embraer S.A. Model ERJ 170 airplanes; Model ERJ 190-100 STD, - 100 LR, -100 ECJ, and -100 IGW airplanes; and Model ERJ 190-200 STD, - 200 LR, and -200 IGW airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of the ram air turbine (RAT) compartment door seal peeling off and tangling up on the RAT rotor during flight test. This proposed AD would require a general visual inspection for peeling-off of the RAT compartment door seal, bonding if necessary, and the rework of the RAT compartment door seal attachment. We are proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Special Conditions: Airbus Model A330 Series Airplanes; Seats With Inertia Locking Devices
These special conditions are issued for the Airbus Model A330 series airplane. These airplanes will have a novel or unusual design feature when compared to the state of technology envisioned in the airworthiness standards for transport-category airplanes. This design feature is seats with inertia locking devices. The applicable airworthiness regulations do not contain adequate or appropriate safety standards for this design feature. These special conditions contain the additional safety standards that the Administrator considers necessary to establish a level of safety equivalent to that established by the existing airworthiness standards.
Airworthiness Directives; Leonardo S.p.A. (Type Certificate Previously Held by Finmeccanica S.p.A., AgustaWestland S.p.A) Helicopters
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Leonardo S.p.A. (Type Certificate previously held by Finmeccanica S.p.A., AgustaWestland S.p.A.) Model AW109SP helicopters. This AD requires inspecting and altering the rescue hoist. This AD was prompted by a report of a damaged hoist cable that detached after load application. The actions of this AD are intended to address an unsafe condition on these products.
Agency Information Collection Activities: Requests for Comments; Clearance of New Approval of Information Collection: Airspace Authorizations in Controlled Airspace Under 49 U.S.C. 44809(a)(5)
In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, FAA invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval for a new information collection. The Federal Register Notice with a 60-day comment period soliciting comments on the following collection of information was published on March 11, 2019 at Volume 84, pages 8778-79. The FAA received no comments during the 60-day comment period. The FAA proposes collecting information pursuant to new requirements under the U.S.C. that limited recreational operations of unmanned aircraft must now apply for airspace authorizations in controlled airspace. The FAA will use the collected information to make determinations whether to authorize or deny the requested operation of UAS in controlled airspace. The proposed information collection is necessary to issue such authorizations or denials consistent with the FAA's mandate to ensure safe and efficient use of national airspace.
Proposed Establishment of Area Navigation (RNAV) Routes; Northeastern United States
This action proposes to establish seven new low altitude RNAV routes, designated T-303, T-307, T-320, T-324, T-335, T-356, and T-358, in the northeastern United States. The proposed routes would enhance the efficiency of the National Airspace System (NAS) by expanding the availability of RNAV routing and supporting the transition of the NAS from ground-based to satellite-based navigation.
Amendment of Class E Airspace; Hawaiian Islands, HI
This action modifies the Hawaiian Islands Class E airspace extending upward from 1,200 feet and 5,500 feet above the surface of the earth by removing that portion that extends beyond the Territorial Sea. This action supports the operation of Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) under standard instrument approach and departure procedures in the Hawaiian Islands, for the safety and management of aircraft within the National Airspace System.
Establishment of the Hawaiian Islands High and the Hawaiian Islands Low Offshore Airspace Areas; Hawaii
This action establishes the Hawaiian High and Hawaiian Low Offshore airspace areas. This action establishes Class A airspace, extending upward from 18,000 feet mean sea level (MSL) to and including flight level (FL) 600; and Class E airspace, extending upward from 1,200 feet MSL to and including 17,999 feet MSL around the Hawaiian Islands. The action provides additional airspace within which domestic air traffic control (ATC) procedures will be used. Establishment of the Class A and Class E airspaces enhances the management of air traffic operations resulting in a more efficient use of that airspace.
Airworthiness Directives; Textron Aviation, Inc. Airplanes
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Textron Aviation, Inc. (type certificate previously held by Cessna Aircraft Company) Models 525, 525A, and 525B airplanes with Tamarack active load alleviation system (ATLAS) winglets installed in accordance with Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) SA03842NY. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by the aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as malfunction of the ATLAS. We are issuing this AD to require actions to address the unsafe condition on these products.
IFR Altitudes; Miscellaneous Amendments
This amendment adopts miscellaneous amendments to the required IFR (instrument flight rules) altitudes and changeover points for certain Federal airways, jet routes, or direct routes for which a minimum or maximum en route authorized IFR altitude is prescribed. This regulatory action is needed because of changes occurring in the National Airspace System. These changes are designed to provide for the safe and efficient use of the navigable airspace under instrument conditions in the affected areas.
Airworthiness Directives; Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation Helicopters
We propose to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2018-10- 07, which applies to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (Sikorsky) Model S- 76C helicopters. AD 2018-10-07 requires inspecting the engine collective position transducer (CPT). Since we issued AD 2018-10-07, we determined that an additional part-numbered engine CPT is affected by the same unsafe condition. This proposed AD would retain the requirements of AD 2018-10-07 and expand the applicability to include the additional engine CPT. We are proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; Bombardier, Inc., Airplanes
We are superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2010-14-05, which applied to certain Bombardier, Inc., Model CL-600-1A11 (600), CL- 600-2A12 (601), and CL-600-2B16 (601-3A, 601-3R, and 604 Variants) airplanes. AD 2010-14-05 required inspection for the part numbers of the system and brake accumulators, and repetitive replacement of affected accumulators. This AD adds requirements for relocating the accumulators and revising the existing maintenance or inspection program to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations. This AD also adds optional terminating action for certain airplanes. This AD was prompted by reports of on-ground hydraulic accumulator screw cap or end cap failure that resulted in the loss of the associated hydraulic system and high-energy impact damage to adjacent systems and structure. We are issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Standard Instrument Approach Procedures, and Takeoff Minimums and Obstacle Departure Procedures; Miscellaneous Amendments
This rule amends, suspends, or removes Standard Instrument Approach Procedures (SIAPs) and associated Takeoff Minimums and Obstacle Departure Procedures for operations at certain airports. This rule establishes, amends, suspends, or removes Standard Instrument Approach Procedures (SIAPs) and associated Takeoff Minimums and Obstacle Departure Procedures (ODPs) foroperations at certain airports. These regulatory actions are needed because of the adoption of new or revised criteria, or because of changes occurring in the National Airspace System, such as the commissioning of new navigational facilities, adding new obstacles, or changing air traffic requirements. Airworthiness Directives; Airbus SAS Airplanes
We are revising an earlier proposal to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2016-12-09, which applies to certain Airbus Model A330- 200, -200 Freighter, and -300 series airplanes; and Model A340-200 and -300 series airplanes. This action revises the notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) by revising the compliance time for the modification of the inside center wing box (CWB). We are proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. Since these actions would impose an additional burden over those in the NPRM, we are reopening the comment period to allow the public the chance to comment on these changes.
Special Conditions: Boeing Model 777-9 Airplane; Tire Debris Penetration of Fuel Tank Structure
These special conditions are issued for The Boeing Company (Boeing) Model 777-9 airplane. This airplane will have a novel or unusual design feature when compared to the state of technology envisioned in the airworthiness standards for transport category airplanes. This design feature is composite fuel tanks that may be subject to tire-debris penetration of the fuel tanks. The applicable airworthiness regulations do not contain adequate or appropriate safety standards for this design feature. These special conditions contain the additional safety standards that the Administrator considers necessary to establish a level of safety equivalent to that established by the existing airworthiness standards.
Airworthiness Directives; The Boeing Company Airplanes
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain The Boeing Company Model 737-100, -200, -200C, -300, -400, and -500 series airplanes. This AD was prompted by reports indicating that the pitot heat switch is not always set to ON, which could result in misleading air data. This AD requires replacement of pitot anti-icing system components, installation of a junction box and wiring provisions, repetitive testing of the anti- icing system, and applicable on-condition actions. We are issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; Airbus SAS Airplanes
We are superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2014-20-04, which applied to all Airbus SAS Model A318 and A319 series airplanes; Airbus SAS Model A320-111, -211, -212, -214, -231, -232, and -233 airplanes; and Airbus SAS Model A321-111, -112, -131, -211, -212, -213, -231, and -232 airplanes. AD 2014-20-04 required repetitive inspections of the titanium angles between the belly fairing and the keel beam side panel, an inspection of the open holes of cracked titanium angles, and corrective action if necessary. This AD continues to require those actions, adds Model A320-216 airplanes, and requires a detailed inspection for, and replacement of, certain rivets, and corrective actions if necessary. This AD was prompted by reports of cracks at the lower riveting of the four titanium angles that connect the belly fairing to the keel beam side panels. We are issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
