Meeting of the President's Export Council
The President's Export Council (Council) will hold a meeting to discuss how artificial intelligence (AI) can contribute to the competitiveness of U.S. businesses operating in international markets. The Council will deliberate recommendations related to uses of AI that ensure transparency, foster growth and innovation, and facilitate trade while securing intellectual property and maintaining workforce stability. The U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) published notice in the Federal Register of October 3, 2024 in which Commerce announced the final determination of the less-than-fair-value (LTFV) investigation of aluminum extrusions from Indonesia for the period of investigation (POI), October 1, 2022, through September 30, 2023. This notice corrects the language in the "Continuation of Suspension of Liquidation" section of the Final Determination.

The U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) has conducted a new shipper review (NSR) of Sudarshan Chemical Industries Limited (Sudarshan) regarding the countervailing duty order on carbazole violet pigment 23 (CVP-23) from India. The period of review (POR) is January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022. Based on our analysis, we continue to find that countervailable subsidies were provided to Sudarshan with the respect to the production of CVP-23 from India during the POR.

This notice omitted the section ordering the liquidation of entries of merchandise subject to the AD order on PC strand from Mexico as a result of the affirmative determination of circumvention.

Melamine From India: Postponement of Final Determination of Sales at Less Than Fair Value Investigation
The U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) is postponing the deadline for issuing the final determination in the less-than-fair- value (LTFV) investigation of melamine from India until February 6, 2025, and is extending the provisional measures from a four-month period to a period of not more than six months.
