We, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), are extending the comment period on our July 3, 2023, proposed rule to list the dunes sagebrush lizard (Sceloporus arenicolus), a species found only in southeastern New Mexico and west Texas, as an endangered species under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended (Act). We are extending the proposed rule's comment period for 30 days to give all interested parties an additional opportunity to comment on the proposed rule. Comments previously submitted need not be resubmitted as they are already incorporated into the public record and will be fully considered in the final rule.

Revision of Approved Primacy Program for the Navajo Nation

Notice is hereby given that the Navajo Nation revised its approved primacy program under the federal Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) by adopting regulations that effectuate the Federal Stage 2 Disinfectants and Disinfection Byproducts Rule (S2 DBPR) and the Ground Water Rule (GWR). The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has determined that Navajo Nation's revision request meets the applicable SDWA program revision requirements and the regulations adopted by the Navajo Nation are no less stringent than the corresponding federal regulations. Therefore, EPA approves this revision to Navajo Nation's approved primacy program. However, this determination on the Navajo Nation's request for approval of a program revision shall take effect in accordance with the procedures described below in the SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION section of this notice after the opportunity to request a public hearing.

The proposed viticultural area is not within any other established viticultural area. TTB designates viticultural areas to allow vintners to better describe the origin of their wines and to allow consumers to better identify wines they may purchase. TTB invites comments on this proposed addition to its regulations.
