This notice is a second amendment to the SGA and it amends a Web site link in ``Section IV., Application and Submission Information,'' under the specific heading, ``Electronic Submissions.''
Planning Guidance and Instructions for Submission of the Strategic State Plan for Title I of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (WIA) and the Wagner-Peyser Act; Extension With Changes to Approved Collection; Comment Request
The Department of Labor, as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden conducts a pre-clearance consultation program to provide the general public and federal agencies with an opportunity to comment on proposed and/or continuing collections of information in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA95) [44 U.S.C. 3506(c)(2)(A)]. This program helps to ensure that requested data can be provided in the desired format, reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized, collection instruments are clearly understood, and the impact of collection requirements on respondents can be properly assessed. Currently, the Employment and Training Administration is soliciting comments concerning an extension with changes of the collection for the Planning Guidance and Instructions for Submission of the Strategic State Plan for title I of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (WIA) and the Wagner-Peyser Act. Workforce Investment Act; Lower Living Standard Income Level
Under Title I of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998 (Pub. L. 105-220), the Secretary of Labor annually determines the Lower Living Standard Income level (LLSIL) for uses described in the law. WIA defines the term ``Low Income Individual'' as one who qualifies under various criteria, including an individual who received income for a six-month period that does not exceed the higher level of the poverty line or 70 percent of the LLSIL. This issuance provides the Secretary's annual LLSIL for 2008 and references the current 2008 Health and Human Services ``Poverty Guidelines.''
