Airworthiness Directives; Ipeco Holdings Ltd. Pilot and Co-Pilot Seats
We propose to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Ipeco Holdings Ltd. (Ipeco) pilot and co-pilot seats. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of unexpected movement of pilot and co-pilot seats on takeoff and landing. This proposed AD would require modification and reidentification of the affected seats. We are proposing this AD to correct the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; Airbus Defense and Space S.A. (Formerly Known as Construcciones Aeronauticas, S.A.) Airplanes
We propose to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2013-02- 12, which applies to all EADS CASA (now Airbus Defense and Space S.A.) Model CN-235, CN-235-100, CN-235-200, and CN-235-300 airplanes. AD 2013-02-12 currently requires a one-time inspection to identify the correct polarity for each pair of electrical connectors on each engine fire extinguisher cartridge, and repair if necessary. Since we issued AD 2013-02-12, we have determined it is necessary to add a requirement for modifying the installation of the fire extinguisher circuit harness. This proposed AD would continue to require identifying the correct polarity of each pair of electrical connectors of the affected engine fire extinguisher cartridge, and doing a repair if necessary. This proposed AD would also require modifying the installation of the fire extinguisher circuit harnesses. We are proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; General Electric Company Turboshaft Engines
We propose to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain General Electric Company (GE) CT7-8A and CT7-9B model turboshaft engines. This proposed AD was prompted by reports from the manufacturer that the high-pressure compressor (HPC) impeller installed on these engines may have suffered from material degradation during the manufacturing process. This proposed AD would require removal of the affected HPC impellers. We are proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

The FAA is issuing this notice to advise the public of a meeting of the Twenty First Meeting of the NextGen Advisory Committee (NAC). NAC is a subcommittee of the federal advisory committee, RTCA Inc.
Special Conditions: Peregrine, Textron Model 650 and Beechcraft Model BAe.125 Series 800A Airplanes; Rechargeable Lithium Batteries and Battery Systems
These special conditions are issued for the Textron Model 650 and Beechcraft Model BAe.125 Series 800A (Model 800A) airplanes as modified by Peregrine. These airplanes will have a novel or unusual design feature when compared to the state of technology envisioned in the airworthiness standards for transport-category airplanes. This design feature is rechargeable lithium batteries and battery systems installed in the airplanes. The applicable airworthiness regulations do not contain adequate or appropriate safety standards for this design feature. These special conditions contain the additional safety standards that the Administrator considers necessary to establish a level of safety equivalent to that established by the existing airworthiness standards.
Proposed Establishment of Class E Airspace; Hattiesburg, MS
This action proposes to establish Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface at Forrest General Hospital Heliport in Hattiesburg, MS, to accommodate new area navigation (RNAV) global positioning system (GPS) standard instrument approach procedures (SIAPs) serving Forrest General Hospital Heliport. Controlled airspace is necessary for the safety and management of instrument flight rules (IFR) operations at the heliport.
Proposed Amendment of Class E Airspace, Windsor Locks, CT
This action proposes to amend Class E airspace at Windsor Locks, CT, by removing the Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) part-time status at Bradley International Airport under Class E airspace designated as an extension to a Class C surface area. This change enhances the safety and management of instrument flight rules (IFR) operations at Bradley International Airport under these Class E airspace designations. This action also would update the geographic coordinates of the airport.
Airworthiness Directives; BAE Systems (Operations) Limited Airplanes
We are superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2011-24-06 for all BAE Systems (Operations) Limited Model BAe 146-100A, -200A, and - 300A airplanes; and Model Avro 146-RJ70A, 146-RJ85A, and 146-RJ100A airplanes. AD 2011-24-06 required revising the maintenance program to incorporate life limits for certain items, adding new and more restrictive inspections to detect fatigue cracking in certain structures, and adding fuel system critical design configuration control limitations (CDCCLs) to prevent ignition sources in the fuel tanks. AD 2011-24-06 also required modifying the main fittings of the main landing gear (MLG) and revising the maintenance program to incorporate new life limits on MLG up-locks and door up-locks and other MLG components. This new AD requires revising the maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate new or revised structural inspection requirements. This AD was prompted by a determination that new or revised structural inspection requirements are necessary. We are issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; The Boeing Company Airplanes
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain The Boeing Company Model 737-800, -900, and -900ER series airplanes. This AD was prompted by reports of in-flight failure of the left temperature control valve and control cabin trim air modulating valve. This AD requires replacing the left temperature control valve and control cabin trim air modulating valve. We are issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; Airbus Airplanes
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus Model A321-111, -112, -131, -211, -212, -213, -231, and -232 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a full scale fatigue test campaign on these airplanes in the context of the extended service goal. This AD requires inspections of the affected frame locations, and repair if necessary. We are issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; Bombardier, Inc., Airplanes
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Bombardier, Inc., Model BD-100-1A10 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a report that the equipment racks were not designed to support the actual weight of all the equipment and the secondary direct current power centers under all loading conditions. This AD requires modifying the equipment racks. We are issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica S.A. (Embraer) Airplanes
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica S.A. (Embraer) Model EMB-135 airplanes and Model EMB-145, -145ER, -145MR, -145LR, -145MP, -145EP, and -145XR airplanes. This AD was prompted by a report of chafing found between the fuel pump electrical harness and the fuel pump tubing during scheduled maintenance. This AD requires a detailed inspection for chafing on the electrical harness of each electrical fuel pump in the fuel tanks, replacement of the affected electrical fuel pump with a new or serviceable pump if necessary, and installation of clamps on the fuel pump electrical harnesses. We are issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; Pratt & Whitney Division Turbofan Engines
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Pratt & Whitney Division (PW) PW2037, PW2037M, and PW2040 turbofan engines. This AD was prompted by an unrecoverable engine in-flight shutdown (IFSD) after an ice crystal icing event. This AD requires installing a software standard eligible for installation and precludes the use of electronic engine control (EEC) software standards earlier than SCN 5B/I. We are issuing this AD to correct the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; Airbus Airplanes
We are revising an earlier notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2004-23-20. AD 2004- 23-20 applies to certain Airbus Model A300 B2-1A, A300 B2-1C, A300 B2K- 3C, A300 B2-203, A300 B4-2C, A300 B4-103, and A300 B4-203 airplanes; and Model A300 B4-601, A300 B4-603, A300 B4-620, A300 B4-622, A300 B4- 605R, A300 B4-622R, A300 F4-605R and A300 C4-605R Variant F airplanes. This action revises the NPRM by reducing certain compliance times, among other changes. We are proposing this airworthiness directive (AD) to address the unsafe condition on these products. Since these actions impose an additional burden over those proposed in the NPRM we are reopening the comment period to allow the public the chance to comment on these proposed changes.
Commercial Space Transportation Advisory Committee-Reestablishment
FAA announces the reestablishment of the COMSTAC, a Federal Advisory Committee that provides information, advice, and recommendations to the Department of Transportation and the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on the critical matters facing the U.S. commercial space transportation industry. This reestablishment will take effect 15 days after the publication of this announcement, and will expire after 2 years.
Special Conditions: Embraer S.A. Model ERJ 190-300 Airplane; Electronic System Security Protection From Unauthorized Internal Access
These special conditions are issued for the Embraer S.A. (Embraer) Model ERJ 190-300 airplane. This airplane will have a novel or unusual design feature when compared to the state of technology envisioned in the airworthiness standards for transport-category airplanes. This design feature is a digital-systems network architecture requiring isolation or protection from unauthorized internal access. The applicable airworthiness regulations do not contain adequate or appropriate safety standards for this design feature. These special conditions contain the additional safety standards that the Administrator considers necessary to establish a level of safety equivalent to that established by the existing airworthiness standards.
Special Conditions: Embraer S.A. ERJ 190-300 Airplane; Electronic-System Security Protection From Unauthorized External Access
These special conditions are issued for the Embraer S.A. (Embraer) ERJ 190-300 airplane. This airplane will have a novel or unusual design feature when compared to the state of technology envisioned in the airworthiness standards for transport-category airplanes. These airplanes will have a digital-systems network architecture composed of several connected networks that may allow access to or by external computer systems and networks, and may result in airplane electronic system-security vulnerabilities. The applicable airworthiness regulations do not contain adequate or appropriate safety standards for this design feature. These special conditions contain the additional safety standards that the Administrator considers necessary to establish a level of safety equivalent to that established by the existing airworthiness standards.
Airworthiness Directives; Bombardier, Inc., Airplanes
We propose to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Bombardier, Inc., Model CL-600-2A12 (CL-601 Variant) and CL- 600-2B16 (CL-601-3A, CL-601-3R, and CL-604 Variants) airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a determination that the bushing holes on the engine mount rib might not conform to the engineering drawings and that certain inspections of the engine mount rib must be included in the airworthiness limitations section (ALS) of the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA). This proposed AD would require revising the maintenance or inspection program to incorporate certain airworthiness limitation items (ALIs). We are proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Amendment and Removal of VOR Federal Airways; Eastern United States
This action modifies VOR Federal airways V-14, V-265, V-464, and V-552, and removes V-90 in the eastern United States due to the planned decommissioning of the Dunkirk, NY, VORTAC navigation aid, which provides navigation guidance for portions of the above routes.
Airworthiness Directives; Pratt & Whitney Turbofan Engines
We are superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2014-05-32 for all Pratt & Whitney (PW) PW2037, PW2037D, PW2037M, PW2040, PW2040D, PW2043, PW2143, PW2643, and F117-PW-100 turbofan engines. AD 2014-05-32 required one-time eddy current inspection (ECI) of affected engines with certain diffuser and high-pressure turbine (HPT) cases installed. AD 2014-05-32 also required a fluorescent-penetrant inspection (FPI) of the diffuser case rear flange and the HPT case front flange. This AD requires additional repetitive, on-wing ECI inspections. This AD was prompted by the manufacturer determining through analysis that the inspections required by AD 2014-05-32 are not adequate to maintain safety for certain diffuser cases. We are issuing this AD to correct the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; Rolls-Royce Corporation Turbofan Engines
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Rolls-Royce Corporation (RRC) AE 3007C and 3007C1 turbofan engines. This AD was prompted by analysis and by cracks found in the high- pressure turbine (HPT) wheel during an inspection. This AD requires replacement of the affected HPT wheels at new, lower life limits. We are issuing this AD to correct the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; Lycoming Engines Reciprocating Engines
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Lycoming TIO-540-AJ1A reciprocating engines. This AD requires initial and repetitive inspections of engine exhaust system weld joints and torque checking the exhaust pipe flange mounting nuts. This AD was prompted by several reports of engine exhaust leaks. We are issuing this AD to correct the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; The Boeing Company Airplanes
We propose to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all The Boeing Company Model 787-8 and 787-9 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a report that the Parking Brake and Alternate Pitch Trim Module (PBM) may unintentionally disengage, fail to set, fail to release, or become jammed. This proposed AD would require replacing the PBM and doing a PBM installation test. We are proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; Dassault Aviation Airplanes
We propose to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Dassault Aviation Model FALCON 7X airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a review showing that inadequate clearance may exist between certain electrical wiring and nearby structures. This proposed AD would require an inspection of certain electrical wiring bundles and feeders, modifications, and corrective actions if necessary. We are proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; Airbus Airplanes
We propose to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus Model A300 B4-603 and A300 B4-622 airplanes; Model A300 B4-600R series airplanes; Model A300 C4-605R Variant F airplanes; Model A300 F4-600R series airplanes; and Model A310-203, A310-221, A310-222, A310- 304, A310-322, A310-324, and A310-325 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by an evaluation by the design approval holder (DAH) that indicates that a section of the fuselage structure above the forward cargo door is subject to widespread fatigue damage (WFD). This proposed AD would require an inspection for cracks of the fastener and tooling holes at certain locations and a check of the diameter of the holes, and repair or modification of the affected fuselage structure if necessary. We are proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; Airbus Airplanes
We propose to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus Model A300 series airplanes; Model A300 B4-600, B4-600R, and F4- 600R series airplanes, and Model A300 C4-605R Variant F airplanes (collectively called Model A300-600 series airplanes); and Model A310 series airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a static analysis performed by Airbus that revealed that some areas of the wing structure cannot sustain the damage previously published in certain structural repair manuals. This proposed AD would require an inspection to determine that no repair or damage to certain wing areas is beyond the allowable limits; and repair if necessary. We are proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

Airworthiness Directives; Airbus Helicopters
We are superseding airworthiness directive (AD) 2016-20-04 for Airbus Helicopters Model SA341G and SA342J helicopters. AD 2016-20-04 prohibited autorotation training flights until the landing gear rear crosstube (crosstube) was inspected. This new AD adds additional part- numbered crosstubes to the applicability and revises the hardness criteria for the inspection. This AD is prompted by a determination that an additional part-numbered crosstube may have the same unsafe condition. The actions of this AD are intended to detect and prevent an unsafe condition on these helicopters.
Airworthiness Directives; Bombardier, Inc., Airplanes
We propose to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2016-11- 02, which applies to all Bombardier, Inc., Model CL-600-2C10 (Regional Jet Series 700, 701, & 702) airplanes; Model CL-600-2D15 (Regional Jet Series 705) airplanes; Model CL-600-2D24 (Regional Jet Series 900) airplanes; and Model CL-600-2E25 (Regional Jet Series 1000) airplanes. AD 2016-11-02 requires repetitive inspections of the upper and lower engine pylons for protruding, loose, or missing fasteners; and repair if necessary. Since we issued AD 2016-11-02, we have determined that a terminating action is necessary to address the unsafe condition. This proposed AD would continue to require the repetitive inspections of the upper and lower engine pylons for protruding, loose, or missing fasteners; and repair if necessary. This proposed AD would also require replacement of affected fasteners, which terminates the inspections. We are proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; Airbus Airplanes
We propose to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus Model A300 B4-600, B4-600R, and F4-600R series airplanes, Model A300 C4-605R Variant F airplanes (collectively called Model A300-600 series airplanes), and Model A310 series airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of unreliable airspeed indications that were caused by pitot heater resistance shorted to ground. This proposed AD would require replacement of certain parts. We are proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; The Boeing Company Airplanes
We propose to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for The Boeing Company Model 757-200 series airplanes with certain supplemental type certificates. This proposed AD was prompted by a report indicating that the main cargo door (MCD) forward-most cam latch on the forward center cam latch pair broke during flight. This proposed AD would require repetitive inspections for discrepancies of cam latches, latch pins, and latch pin cross bolts of the MCD; replacement of all alloy steel cross bolts through the latch pins with corrosion-resistant steel (CRES) cross bolts of the MCD; and related investigative and corrective actions if necessary. We are proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; General Electric Company Turbofan Engines
We propose to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all General Electric Company (GE) CF34-8E model turbofan engines. This proposed AD was prompted by a report that using a certain repair procedure for the fan outlet guide vane (OGV) frame could alter the strength capability of the fan OGV frame. This proposed AD would require replacement of all fan OGV frames repaired using this procedure. We are proposing this AD to correct the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; General Electric Company Turbofan Engines
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain General Electric Company (GE) GEnx-1B64, -1B64/P1, -1B64/P2, -1B67, - 1B67/P1, -1B67/P2, -1B70, -1B70/P1, -1B70/P2, -1B70/75/P1, -1B70/75/P2, -1B70C/P1, -1B70C/P2, -1B74/75/P1, -1B74/75/P2, -1B76A/P2 turbofan engines. This AD was prompted by a fracture of the fuel manifold which led to an in-flight shutdown of the engine. This AD requires replacement of the outer left side signal fuel manifold with a part eligible for installation. We are issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; General Electric Company Turbofan Engines
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for General Electric Company (GE) CF6-80C2L1F turbofan engines. This AD was prompted by a reduction in the life limit of the affected engines which is the result of a revised operating profile. This AD requires replacement of the high-pressure turbine (HPT) spacer/impeller, part number (P/N) 1539M12P02, at a newer, lower life limit. We are issuing this AD to correct the unsafe condition on these products.
Proposed Establishment Class E Airspace; Cisco, TX
This action withdraws the NPRM published in the Federal Register on March 13, 2017, proposing to establish Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface at Gregory M. Simmons Memorial Airport, Cisco, TX. The FAA has determined that withdrawal of that NPRM is warranted as the airport does not meet the requirements for the airspace at this time.
Airworthiness Directives; The Boeing Company Airplanes
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain The Boeing Company Model 767-200 series airplanes. This AD requires repetitive inspections for damage of a certain drive arm assembly, and related investigative and corrective actions if necessary. This AD was prompted by a report indicating that during an inspection associated with a flap, the extend overtravel stops on an actuator crank arm assembly were making contact with an adjacent drive arm assembly when the flaps were retracted. We are issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; PILATUS AIRCRAFT LTD. Airplanes
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for PILATUS AIRCRAFT LTD. Model PC-12/47E airplanes. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as an error within the flight management system caused by installing Primus APEX software Build 10 or 10.9, which could cause deviation from the correctly calculated barometric vertical navigation nominal glide path. We are issuing this AD to require actions to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Agency Information Collection Activities: Requests for Comments; Clearance of Renewed Approval of Information Collection: Dealer's Aircraft Registration Certificate Application
In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, FAA invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval to renew a previously approved information collection. AC Form 8050-5 is an application for a dealer's Aircraft Registration Certificate which, under 49 United States Code 1404, may be issued to a person engaged in manufacturing, distributing, or selling aircraft.
Agency Information Collection Activities: Requests for Comments; Clearance of Renewed Approval of Information Collection: Service Difficulty Reporting System
In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, FAA invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval to reinstate a previously approved information collection. The collection involves requirements for operators and repair stations to report any malfunctions and defects or service difficulties to the Administrator. The information collected allows the FAA to evaluate its certification standards, maintenance programs, and regulatory requirements. It is also the basis for issuance of Airworthiness Directives designed to prevent unsafe conditions and accidents.
Airworthiness Directives; The Boeing Company Airplanes
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all The Boeing Company Model 767-200, -300, and -400ER series airplanes. This AD was prompted by an evaluation by the design approval holder (DAH) indicating that the fuselage skin lap splices are subject to widespread fatigue damage (WFD). This AD requires repetitive inspections to detect any crack in the fuselage skin at the skin lap splices, and corrective actions if necessary. We are issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Proposed Amendment of Class E Airspace; Medford, WI and Waupaca, WI
This action proposes to modify Class E airspace extending up to 700 feet above the surface at Taylor County Airport, Medford, WI and Waupaca Municipal Airport, Waupaca, WI, to accommodate new standard instrument approach procedures (SIAPS) for instrument flight rules (IFR) operations at these airports. This action is necessary due to the decommissioning of the Medford and Waupaca non directional radio beacons (NDB), and cancellation of NDB approaches. This action would enhance the safety and management of IFR operations at these airports.
Amendment of VOR Federal Airways; Eastern United States
This action modifies VOR Federal airways V-16, V-94 and V-124, in the eastern United States due to the planned decommissioning of the Jacks Creek, TN, VOR/DME navigation aid.
Amendment of Class E Airspace; Moses Lake, WA; Olympia, WA
This action withdraws the final rule, technical amendment published in the Federal Register on April 25, 2017. In that action, the FAA amended Class E Airspace at Grant County International Airport, Moses Lake, WA, and Olympia Regional Airport, Olympia, WA. The FAA has determined that withdrawal of the final rule, technical amendment is warranted since a change in the geographic coordinates of the airports will affect the charted boundaries of the airspace, and therefore should be considered under the full rulemaking process.
Amendment of Class D and Class E Airspace; Aspen, CO; and Pueblo, CO
This action withdraws the final rule, technical amendment published in the Federal Register on April 25, 2017. In that action, the FAA amended Class E Airspace at Aspen Pitkin County/Sardy Field, Aspen, CO, and Pueblo Memorial Airport, Pueblo, CO. The FAA has determined that withdrawal of the final rule, technical amendment is warranted since a change in the geographic coordinates of the airports will affect the charted boundaries of the airspace, and therefore should be considered under the full rulemaking process.

This action proposes to amend Class E airspace at Alexander City, AL, due to the decommissioning of the Alexander City non- directional beacon (NDB), which requires airspace reconfiguration at Thomas C Russell Field Airport. Controlled airspace is necessary for the safety and management of instrument flight rules (IFR) operations at the airport. This action also would update the geographic coordinates of the airport.
Proposed Amendment of Class E Airspace, Hot Springs, VA
This action proposes to amend Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface at Hot Springs, VA, by adding controlled airspace for Bath Community Hospital Heliport to the Ingalls Field Airport airspace designation. Controlled airspace is necessary for the safety and management of instrument flight rules (IFR) operations at the heliport. This action also would update the geographic coordinates of Ingalls Field Airport in the associated Class E airspace.
Airworthiness Directives; Bombardier, Inc. Airplanes
We propose to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Bombardier, Inc. Model CL-600-1A11 (CL-600), CL-600-2A12 (CL- 601 Variant), and CL-600-2B16 (CL-601-3A, CL-601-3R, and CL-604 Variants) airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a new life limitation that has been introduced for the side brace fitting shaft and side brace-to-airplane fitting pin of the main landing gear (MLG). This proposed AD would require revising the maintenance or inspection program. This proposed AD would also require an inspection to identify the serial number, to serialize, and to record the accumulated life of the side brace fitting shaft of the MLG. We are proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
Airworthiness Directives; NavWorx, Inc. Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast Universal Access Transceiver Units
We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for NavWorx, Inc. (NavWorx), Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) Universal Access Transceiver Units (unit). This AD requires removing, disabling, or modifying the ADS-B unit. This AD was prompted by a design change that results in the unit communicating unreliable position information. The actions in this AD are intended to address an unsafe condition on these products.
Notice of Intent To Rule on a Land Release Request at Albany International Airport, Albany, NY.
The FAA is requesting public comment for a land release and sale of 11.972 acres of federally obligated airport property at Albany International Airport, Albany, NY, to accommodate the construction of a new highway access ramp connecting Albany Shaker Road to Interstate 87. This acreage was originally purchased with federal financial assistance through the AIP program under Grant Agreements 3-36-0001-062-1999, 3- 36-0001-092-2007, and 3-36-0001-105-2009. In accordance with federal regulations, this notice is required to be published in the Federal Register 30 days before releasing the grant assurances that require the property to be used for an aeronautical purpose.
