Culturally Significant Objects Imported for Exhibition Determinations: “Max Liebermann: From Realism to Impressionism”

Announcement of meetings of the International Telecommunication Advisory Committee
The International Telecommunication Advisory Committee announces an email meeting of ITAC Study Group D to consider a normal contribution to International Telecommunication Union, Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) Study Group 9, Integrated broadband cable networks and television and sound transmission. Members of the public may participate, and may join in the discussions. The International Telecommunication Advisory Committee (ITAC) will meet by email to prepare for ITU-T Study Group 9, Integrated broadband cable networks and television and sound transmission, from August 10 to 16. The agenda constitutes consideration of a single document for submission as a normal contribution; this is not the meeting for general preparation for the SG9 meeting, which is scheduled for September 28, 2005. Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) Request for Grant Proposals: FY2006 International Educators Program
The U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and the Office of Global Educational Programs announce an open competition to administer a new semester-long International Educators Program for outstanding secondary-level teachers from Southeast Asia, the Near East, South Asia (except Afghanistan) and Russia. The total grant award for program and administrative purposes is anticipated to be $1,650,000. Public and private non-profit organizations meeting the provisions described in Internal Revenue Code section 26 U.S.C. 501(c)(3) may submit proposals to cooperate with the Bureau in the administration and implementation of the FY2006 International Educators Program.

Announcement of Meetings of the International Telecommunication Advisory Committee
The International Telecommunication Advisory Committee announces various meetings of the ITAC Study Groups for the remainder of the calendar year in preparation for technical and advisory group meetings of the International Telecommunication Union, Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T), and the OAS Inter American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL). Members of the public will be admitted to the extent that seating is available, and may join in the discussions, subject to the instructions of the Chair. The International Telecommunication Advisory Committee (ITAC) will meet to prepare for ITU-T Study Group 3, Charging and Accounting Principles, on Thursday, July 28; Wednesday, August 17; and August 24, 2005, both from 2-4 p.m. in the Washington, DC metro area. The International Telecommunication Advisory Committee announces a meeting of U.S. Study Group A on July 28, 2005, which will be held to prepare positions for the next meeting of ITU-T Study Group 3, and three meetings to prepare for ITU Development Sector Study Group Meetings 1 and 2. Members of the public will be admitted to the extent that seating is available, and may join in the discussions, subject to the instructions of the Chair. The International Telecommunication Advisory Committee (ITAC) will meet on Thursday, July 28, 2005, 2:00-4:00pm, to prepare U.S. and company contributions for the next meeting of ITU-accounting principles, which will take place September 12-16, 2005. The U.S. Study Group A meeting will be held at the AT&T Innovation Center, 1133 21st St, Suite 210, Washington, DC. A conference bridge will be available to those outside the Washington Metro area. The objects are imported pursuant to loan agreements with the foreign owners or custodians. I also determine that the exhibition or display of the exhibit objects at the Walters Art Museum, Baltimore, Maryland, from on or about November 19, 2005 to on or about February 12, 2006, and at possible additional venues yet to be determined, is in the national interest.
