Notice is hereby given that the presiding administrative law judge (``ALJ'') has issued a Final Initial Determination and Recommended Determination on Remedy and Bonding in the above-captioned investigation. Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade Commission has determined not to review an initial determination (``ID'') (Order No. 11) issued by the presiding administrative law judge (``ALJ'') on May 31, 2017, terminating the last remaining respondent based on a withdrawal of the complaint. The Commission requests written submissions, under the schedule set forth below, on remedy, public interest, and bonding concerning a previously defaulted respondent.
Ripe Olives From Spain; Institution of Antidumping and Countervailing Duty Investigations and Scheduling of Preliminary Phase Investigations
The Commission hereby gives notice of the institution of investigations and commencement of preliminary phase antidumping and countervailing duty investigation Nos. 701-TA-582 and 731-TA-1377 (Preliminary) pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930 (``the Act'') to determine whether there is a reasonable indication that an industry in the United States is materially injured or threatened with material injury, or the establishment of an industry in the United States is materially retarded, by reason of imports of ripe olives from Spain, provided for in subheadings 2005.70.02, 2005.70.04, 2005.70.06, 2005.70.08, 2005.70.12, 2005.70.16, 2005.70.18, 2005.70.23, 2005.70.25, 2005.70.50, 2005.70.60, 2005.70.70, 2005.70.75, 2005.70.91, 2005.70.93, and 2005.70.97 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, that are alleged to be sold in the United States at less than fair value and alleged to be subsidized by the Government of Spain. Unless the Department of Commerce extends the time for initiation, the Commission must reach a preliminary determination in antidumping and countervailing duty investigations in 45 days, or in this case by August 7, 2017. The Commission's views must be transmitted to Commerce within five business days thereafter, or by August 14, 2017.
Summary of Commission Practice Relating to Administrative Protective Orders
Since February 1991, the U.S. International Trade Commission/ (``Commission'') has published in the Federal Register reports on the status of its practice with respect to violations of its administrative protective orders (``APOs'') under title VII of the Tariff Act of 1930, in response to a direction contained in the Conference Report to the Customs and Trade Act of 1990. Over time, the Commission has added to its report discussions of APO breaches in Commission proceedings other than under title VII and violations of the Commission's rules including the rule on bracketing business proprietary information (``BPI'') (the ``24-hour rule''). This notice provides a summary of breach investigations (APOB investigations) completed during calendar year 2015. This summary addresses one APOB investigation related to a proceeding under title VII of the Tariff Act of 1930 and four APOB investigations related to proceedings under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, two of which were related to the same proceedings and were combined. The Commission investigated rules violations as part of one of the APOB investigations. The Commission intends that this report inform representatives of parties to Commission proceedings as to some specific types of APO breaches encountered by the Commission and the corresponding types of actions the Commission has taken.
Certain Bar Code Readers, Scan Engines, Products Containing the Same, and Components Thereof; Institution of Investigation
Notice is hereby given that a complaint was filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission on May 23, 2017, under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, on behalf of Honeywell International, Inc. of Morris Plains, New Jersey; Hand Held Products, Inc. d/b/a Honeywell Scanning & Mobility of Fort Mill, South Carolina; and Metrologic Instruments, Inc. d/b/a Honeywell Scanning & Mobility of Fort Mill, South Carolina. Silicon Metal From China; Notice of Commission Determination To Conduct a Full Five-Year Review

Large Residential Washers; Institution and Scheduling of Safeguard Investigation and Determination That the Investigation Is Extraordinarily Complicated
Following receipt of a petition for import relief, as amended and properly filed on June 5, 2017, the Commission has instituted investigation No. TA-201-76 pursuant to section 202 of the Trade Act of 1974 (``the Act'') to determine whether large residential washers (``LRWs'') are being imported into the United States in such increased quantities as to be a substantial cause of serious injury, or the threat thereof, to the domestic industry producing an article like or directly competitive with the imported articles. The Commission has deemed the petition, as amended, to have been properly filed on June 5, 2017. The Commission has determined that this investigation is ``extraordinarily complicated,'' and will make its injury determination within 122 days after the petition was filed, or by October 5, 2017. The Commission will submit to the President the report required under section 202(f) of the Act within 180 days after the date on which the petition was deemed filed, or by December 4, 2017.

Notice is hereby given that a complaint was filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission on April 28, 2017, under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, on behalf of Sony Corporation of Japan; Sony Storage Media Solutions Corporation of Japan; Sony Storage Media Manufacturing Corporation of Japan; Sony DADC US Inc. of Terre Haute, Indiana; and Sony Latin America Inc. of Miami, Florida. The Commission has deemed the petition, as amended, to have been properly filed on May 17, 2017. The Commission has determined that this investigation is ``extraordinarily complicated'' and will make its injury determination within 128 days after the petition was filed, or by September 22, 2017. The Commission will submit to the President the report required within 180 days after the date on which the petition was filed, or by November 13, 2017.
