Notice of Availability of Funds and Funding Opportunity Announcement for Training To Work 3-Adult Reentry
The Employment and Training Administration (ETA), U.S. Department of Labor, announces the availability of approximately $27 million in grant funds authorized by the Workforce Investment Act and the Second Chance Act of 2007 for Training to Work 3Adult Reentry. ETA plans to award approximately 20 grants of up to $1,360,000 each to serve male and female ex-offenders, referred to in the FOA as returning citizens. This FOA provides the opportunity for organizations to develop and implement career pathways programs in demand sectors and occupations for men and women, including veterans, and people with disabilities, who are at least 18 years old and who are enrolled in work release programs. The purpose of this program is to assist returning citizens transition back into their communities by gaining industry-recognized credentials and securing employment. Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act; Lower Living Standard Income Level
Title I of WIOA requires the U.S. Secretary of Labor (Secretary) to update and publish the LLSIL tables annually, for uses described in the law (including determining eligibility for youth). WIOA defines the term ``low income individual'' as one who qualifies under various criteria, including an individual who receives, or received for a prior six-month period, income that does not exceed the higher level of the poverty line or 70 percent of the LLSIL. This issuance provides the Secretary's annual LLSIL for 2015 and references the current 2015 Health and Human Services ``Poverty Guidelines.'' These provisions in WIOA pertaining to LLSIL reflect no change from the prior language under the Workforce Investment Act of 1998, as amended.
Comment Request for Information Collection for OMB 1205-0028, Weekly Initial and Continued Claims (ETA 538 and ETA 539); Extension Without Revision
The Department of Labor (Department), as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, conducts a preclearance consultation program to provide the public and Federal agencies with an opportunity to comment on proposed and/or continuing collections of information in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 [44 U.S.C. 3506(c)(2)(A)]. This program helps ensure that requested data can be provided in the desired format, reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized, collection instruments are clearly understood, and the impact of collection requirements on respondents can be properly assessed. Currently, ETA is soliciting comments concerning the collection of data about the Unemployment Insurance Weekly Claims data collection, which expires October 31, 2015.
Comment Request for Information Collection for YouthBuild (YB) Reporting System, Extension Without Revisions
The Department of Labor, as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, conducts a preclearance consultation program to provide the general public and federal agencies with an opportunity to comment on proposed and/or continuing collections of information in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA95) [44 U.S.C. 3506(c)(2)(A)]. This program helps to ensure that requested data can be provided in the desired format, reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized, collection instruments are clearly understood, and the impact of collection requirements on respondents can be properly assessed. Currently, the Employment and Training Administration is soliciting comments concerning the collection of data regarding the Youth Build Reporting System (expires May 31, 2015). Notice of Availability of Funds and Funding Opportunity Announcement for Face Forward 3-Intermediary and Community Grants
The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) plans to award four intermediary organization grants of $5,000,000 each and approximately 10 community organization grants of up to $1,050,000 each, totaling approximately $30,500,000 to provide services to youth between the ages of 14 to 24 that have been involved in the Juvenile Justice System and never convicted in the adult criminal system. Face Forward 3-Intermediary and Community grants will build on existing promising practices to assist youth participants, such as earning industry-recognized credentials in demand occupations and sectors, participating in self-exploration activities, providing on- the-job training (OJT) and work-based learning opportunities, participating in career planning and management activities, and strengthening industry and employer connections to ensure that the training program directly aligns with the skills and credentials needed to secure employment. The Department of Labor (DOL), as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, conducts a preclearance consultation program to provide the public and Federal agencies with an opportunity to comment on proposed and/or continuing collections of information in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. 3506(c)(2)(A)). This program helps ensure that requested data can be provided in the desired format, reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized, collection instruments are clearly understood, and the impact of collection requirements on respondents can be properly assessed. Currently, the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) is soliciting comments concerning the collection of data about Form ETA- 9127, Foreign Labor Certification Quarterly Activity Report (OMB Control Number 1205-0457), which expires May 31, 2015. The Form ETA- 9127 solicits information from State Workforce Agencies (SWAs) who are recipients of foreign labor certification grants about program-related activities performed by SWA staff in accordance with the specific fiscal year annual plans. These activities include reviewing and transmitting H-2A and H-2B job orders, conducting H-2A prevailing wage and prevailing practice surveys, and performing H-2A related housing inspections of facilities offered to agricultural workers.

The Department of Labor (Department), as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, conducts a preclearance consultation program to provide the public and Federal agencies with an opportunity to comment on proposed and/or continuing collections of information in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 [44 U.S.C. 3506(c)(2)(A)] (PRA).
