The bridge owner submitted a request to allow the bridge to require a four hour advance notice for bridge openings year-round based upon infrequent requests to open the draw during past years. It is expected that this proposed change to the regulations will create efficiency in drawbridge operations while continuing to meet the reasonable needs of navigation.

This proposed rule is intended to restrict vessels from designated areas on navigable waterways during these events.
