Workforce Investment Act; Native American Employment and Training Council
Pursuant to section 10 (a)(2) of the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) (Public Law 92-463), as amended, and section 166 (h)(4) of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) [29 U.S.C. 2911(h)(4)], notice is hereby given of the next meeting of the Native American Employment and Training Council (NAETC), as constituted under WIA. Time and Date: The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Tuesday, January 8, 2008, and continue until 4:45 p.m. that day. The meeting will reconvene at 9 a.m. EST on Wednesday, January 9, 2008, and adjourn at approximately 4:45 p.m. on that day. The period from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on January 9, 2008, will be reserved for participation and presentations by members of the public. Place: All sessions will be held at the United States Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Avenue NW., Room N3437-A, B, and C, Washington, DC 20210. Status: The meeting will be open to the public. Members of the public not present may submit a written statement on or before December 28, 2007, to be included in the record of the meeting. Proposed Collection for Workforce Information Grants to States Application Instructions for Program Year (PY) 2008; Comment Request
The Department of Labor, as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden conducts a pre-clearance consultation program to provide the general public and Federal agencies with an opportunity to comment on proposed and/or continuing collections of information in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA95) [44 U.S.C. 3506(c)(2)(A)]. This program helps to ensure that requested data can be provided in the desired format, reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized, collection instruments are clearly understood, and the impact of collection requirements on respondents can be properly assessed. Currently, the Employment and Training Administration is soliciting comments concerning a revision to a currently approved collection for Workforce Information Grants to States under OMB Control Number 1205- 0417. Job Corps: Preliminary Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Proposed Job Corps Training Center Located at 4000 Airport Road Approximately Two Miles Northwest of Riverton, WY
Pursuant to the Council on Environmental Quality Regulations (40 CFR part 1500-08) implementing procedural provisions of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, Office of Job Corps, in accordance with 29 CFR 11.11(d), gives notice that an Environmental Assessment (EA) has been prepared for a proposed new Job Corps Training Center to be located in Riverton, Wyoming, and that the proposed plan for a new Job Corps Training Center will have no significant environmental impact. This Preliminary Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) will be made available for public review and comment for a period of 30 days.
