That notice invited public comment on the Draft Complex Transformation SPEIS through April 10, 2008. NNSA has extended the public comment period through April 30, 2008.

The Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to amend its Procedural Rules for DOE Nuclear Activities to be consistent with section 610 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005, Public Law 109-58 (EPAct 2005), signed into law by President Bush on August 8, 2005. Section 610 amends provisions in section 234A. of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 (AEA) concerning civil penalties with respect to certain DOE contractors, subcontractors and suppliers. This proposed rule would revise DOE's regulations to be consistent with the changes made by section 610.

In this Final Rule, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (Commission) is revising its financial forms, statements, and reports for natural gas companies, contained in FERC Form Nos. 2, 2-A and 3-Q. The revisions are designed to enhance the forms' usefulness by updating them to reflect current market and cost information relevant to interstate natural gas pipelines and their customers. The changes will provide additional information that the Commission needs to carry out its responsibilities under the Natural Gas Act (NGA).

The Advisory Committee advises the Secretary of Energy on the development and implementation of programs under Subtitle J, Section 999 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPACT) related to onshore unconventional natural gas and other petroleum resources, and reviews and provides written comments on the annual plan as also described in this subtitle of the EPACT. The membership of the Advisory Committee must be in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act and some members of the Advisory Committee may be appointed as special Government employees of the Department of Energy.
