Privacy Act; Implementation
The Department of Air Force is updating the Department of Air Force Privacy Act Program Rules, 32 CFR part 806b, by adding the (k)(1) thru (k)(7) exemptions to accurately describe the basis for exempting the records. The Privacy Act system of records notice, F051 AF JAA, entitled ``Freedom of Information Appeal Records'', was has already been published on December 12, 2008 (73 FR 75688).

Office of the Secretary of Defense and Joint Staff Privacy Program
This rule revises 32 CFR part 311 to update Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Joint Staff (JS) policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for the effective administration of the Privacy Act (PA) Program in OSD and JS. This rule supplements and implements 32 CFR part 310, the DoD Privacy Program.

Notice of Availability of a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for Training Land Acquisition at Fort Polk, LA
The Department of the Army has prepared a DEIS that analyzes environmental and socioeconomic impacts connected with the proposed acquisition (hereinafter to mean including purchase and lease) and use of up to 100,000 additional acres of commercial and private lands for training in the vicinity of Fort Polk, Louisiana. This Proposed Action to acquire additional lands supports the training requirements of the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) and Fort Polk's current and future resident units. The DEIS analyzes three alternatives that are deemed feasible and meet the purpose and need for this Proposed Action.
Privacy Act; Implementation
The Defense Logistics Agency shall exempt those records contained in S510.30, Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act Requests and Administrative Appeal Records, when an exemption has been previously claimed for the records in another Privacy Act system of records. The exemption is intended to preserve the exempt status of the records when the purposes underlying the exemption for the original records are still valid and necessary to protect the contents of the records.
