The United States Mint is announcing the price of the 2009 United States Mint Lincoln Coin and Chronicles Set. As part of the 2009 Abraham Lincoln Commemorative Silver Dollar Program, the United States Mint is producing a limited edition collectible product capturing the life and legacy of President Abraham Lincoln. This set contains one proof 2009 Abraham Lincoln Commemorative Silver Dollar and four proof 95% copper one-cent coins featuring the four 2009 one-cent coin reverse designs. The United States Mint is announcing the price of the 2009 Presidential $1 Coin Uncirculated Set. The 2009 Presidential $1 Coin Uncirculated Set will be priced at $15.95. This set contains eight Presidential $1 Coins: four from the United States Mint at Philadelphia, and four from the United States Mint at Denver. The 2009 Presidential $1 Coin Uncirculated Set will be offered for sale in the spring of 2009.

The United States Mint is announcing pricing for the 2009 American Presidency $1 Coin Cover Series and the 2009 District of Columbia and U.S. Territories Quarters Official First Day Coin Cover Series. The 2009 American Presidency $1 Coin Cover Series will be priced at $14.95 each. Each cover includes two Presidential $1 Coins, one each from the United States Mint facilities at Denver and Philadelphia, on a display card with a stamp and a postmark marking the day the coins were first released to the public. The 2009 District of Columbia and U.S. Territories Quarters Official First Day Coin Covers will be priced at $14.95 each. Each cover includes two quarters, one each from the United States Mint facilities at Denver and Philadelphia, on a display card with a stamp and a postmark marking the day the quarters were first released to the public. The first 2009 American Presidency $1 Coin Cover Series, featuring the William Henry Harrison Presidential $1 Coin, and the first 2009 District of Columbia and U.S. Territories Quarters First Day Coin Cover, featuring the District of Columbia Quarter, will be offered for sale this spring.

The United States Mint is announcing the price of the 2009 Lincoln Cent Two-Roll Set. The 2009 Lincoln Cent Two-Roll Set will contain one roll of coins struck at the United States Mint at Philadelphia and one roll of coins struck at the United States Mint at Denver. Four sets will be sold throughout the year, one set for each of the four designs of one-cent coins minted in 2009. Each set will be priced at $8.95. The first 2009 Lincoln Cent Two-Roll Set will be offered for sale on March 13, 2009.

The United States Mint is announcing the prices of the 2009 Abraham Lincoln Commemorative Silver Dollar and the 2009 Louis Braille Bicentennial Silver Dollar. Public Laws 109-285 and 109-247 require the United States Mint to mint and issue the Abraham Lincoln Commemorative Silver Dollar and the Louis Braille Bicentennial Silver Dollar, respectively. These coins will be offered in both proof and uncirculated conditions. In addition, the uncirculated Louis Braille Bicentennial Silver Dollar will be offered in an easy-to-open capsule for those who would like to feel the tactile elements offered by the coin design. The Abraham Lincoln Commemorative Silver Dollar will be offered at an introductory price on February 12, 2009, through March 16, 2009, when it will be offered at regular pricing. The Louis Braille Bicentennial Silver Dollar will be offered at introductory pricing beginning March 26, 2009, through April 27, 2009, when it will be offered at regular pricing. Pricing for all standard options under both programs are listed below.

The United States Mint is changing its return policy for all numismatic products. Effective February 10, 2009, the United States Mint will change its 30-day return policy. As a result of implementing a new pricing methodology for numismatic coins containing gold and platinum, the United States Mint is implementing a new seven-day return policy for all numismatic gold and platinum precious metal products. Further, to ensure consistency in our return policies across all numismatic product categories, the United States Mint will adopt this same seven-day return policy for all numismatic products. (This policy does not apply to $1 coin direct shipments, which are not considered numismatic products.) Under this new policy, United States Mint customers will have the opportunity to return products within seven calendar days from the date they receive their orders.

In accordance with 31 U.S.C. 5135, the CCAC: Advises the Secretary of the Treasury on any theme or design proposals relating to circulating coinage, bullion coinage, Congressional Gold Medals, and national and other medals. Advises the Secretary of the Treasury with regard to the events, persons, or places to be commemorated by the issuance of commemorative coins in each of the five calendar years succeeding the year in which a commemorative coin designation is made. Makes recommendations with respect to the mintage level for any commemorative coin recommended.
