Use of Bureau of Reclamation Land, Facilities, and Waterbodies
The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) proposes a rule on the use of Reclamation land, facilities, and waterbodies. The proposed rule addresses among other topics the cost recovery of fees for authorized uses involving the possession or occupancy of any portion of, and the extraction or disturbance of any natural resource from Reclamation land, facilities, and waterbodies; how to apply for a use authorization including what application forms to use; and what uses are prohibited and associated consequences. When finalized, the proposed rule will supersede the current rule which was originally published in 1983 and partially revised in April 2006.
Temporary Road/Area Closures
Notice is hereby given that certain roads/areas within the Piute Fire perimeter are temporarily closed to motorized vehicles due to a wildland fire. The purpose of this closure is to provide for public and firefighter safety. This action is to decrease the number of private vehicles on the roads/areas within the fire perimeter.
Mattamuskeet National Wildlife Refuge, Hyde County, NC
We, the Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), announce the availability of a draft comprehensive conservation plan and environmental assessment (Draft CCP/EA) for Mattamuskeet National Wildlife Refuge for public review and comment. In this Draft CCP/EA, we describe the alternative we propose to use to manage this refuge for the 15 years following approval of the Final CCP.
