The Department of Labor, as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, conducts a preclearance consultation program to provide the general public and Federal agencies with an opportunity to comment on proposed and/or continuing collections of information in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA95) [44 U.S.C. 3506(c)(2)(A)]. On August 22, 2006, the Advisory Committee on Job Corps (ACJC) was established in accordance with the provisions of the Workforce Investment Act and the Federal Advisory Committee Act. The Committee was established to advance Job Corps' new vision for student achievement aimed at 21st century high-growth employment. Notice of Proposed Procedural Guidelines for the Development and Maintenance of the List of Goods From Countries Produced by Child Labor or Forced Labor Pursuant to the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2005
This notice sets forth proposed procedural guidelines pertaining to the development and maintenance of a list of goods from foreign countries produced by child labor or forced labor in violation of international standards (``the List''), pursuant to the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2005. The guidelines provide information as to the submission of information, review, and reporting process used by the U.S. Department of Labor's (``DOL'') Office of Child Labor, Forced Labor, and Human Trafficking (``the Office'') in maintaining and revising the List. DOL invites all interested persons to submit written comments on the proposed guidelines.
