National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS): Technical Corrections
The Office of Justice Programs (OJP) is promulgating this direct final rule for its National Motor Vehicle Title Information System Program (NMVTIS) in order to make two technical corrections to the NMVTIS regulations.

Solicitation for a Cooperative Agreement-Development of a Core Correctional Practices Curriculum
The National Institute of Corrections (NIC) is soliciting proposals from organizations, groups, or individuals to enter into a cooperative agreement for a nine-month project period for the development of a competency-based and performance-driven curriculum that will provide corrections professionals with the knowledge and skills to facilitate effective changes in individual offender's behavior. The curriculum will be on two levels: (1) Training line staff who work with offenders under correctional supervision and (2) training those who train line staff who work with offenders.
Solicitation for a Cooperative Agreement-Curriculum Development for MET, ECCP, and ICMS Training Project
The National Institute of Corrections (NIC) is soliciting proposals from organizations, groups, partnerships of organization and groups, or individuals to enter into a cooperative agreement for a 12- month project period to develop curricula, pilot them, and participate in the planning for the delivery of three closely related training programs. These training programs, together with other training components being developed separately, will ultimately be delivered at the beginning of 2013 as part of the training correctional staff and treatment providers will receive during the Second Chance Act/ Demonstration Field Experiment (SCA/DFE). This project is a joint effort being carried out by the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), the National Institute of Justice (NIJ), and NIC. To successfully integrate the entire project, these three programs will be developed together and piloted during the first 6 months of this award. Also during this six- month period and for the remainder of the project, the awardee will participate in the planning for the delivery of each training component to staff and treatment providers at the DFE sites. The three training curricula to be developed under this award are as follows:
Privacy Act of 1974; System of Records
Pursuant to the Privacy Act of 1974 (5 U.S.C. 552a), the United States Department of Justice (``Department'') proposes to modify the system of records entitled, ``Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act, and Mandatory Declassification Review Requests and Administrative Appeals for the Department of Justice (DOJ-004),'' 66 FR 29994 (June 4, 2001), and rename it ``Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act, and Mandatory Declassification Review Records (DOJ-004).'' In addition to the name change, modifications to the notice include updates to and additions of several routine uses to reflect new uses, as well as to conform with Department-wide model routine use language; additions of the Security Classification and Disclosure to Consumer Reporting Agencies sections; additions throughout the notice of references to the system's inclusion of records related to requests for the Office of Information Policy to serve as Ombudsman in disputes between federal agencies and individuals who submit requests under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA); updates to the Record Access Procedures section to reflect the Office of Privacy and Civil Liberties' role in addressing Privacy Act amendment appeals; and minor modifications throughout the notice to reflect the name change of the Office of Information and Privacy to the Office of Information Policy, and removal of the reference to the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), as INS is no longer within the Department of Justice.
Hearing of the Attorney General's National Task Force on Children Exposed to Violence
This is an announcement of the third hearing of the Attorney General's National Task Force on Children Exposed to Violence (the ``task force''). The task force is chartered to provide OJP, a component of the Department of Justice, with valuable advice in the areas of children exposed to violence for the purpose of addressing the epidemic levels of exposure to violence faced by our nation's children. Based on the testimony at four public hearings; comprehensive research; and extensive input from experts, advocates, and impacted families and communities nationwide, the task force will issue a final report to the Attorney General presenting its findings and comprehensive policy recommendations in the fall of 2012.
