This notice establishes final 2009 aggregate production quotas for controlled substances in schedules I and II of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA). The DEA has taken into consideration comments received in response to a notice of the proposed revised aggregate production quotas for 2009 published July 23, 2009 (74 FR 36511).
Walk-Through and Handheld Metal Detector Standards Panel
The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) is in the process of revising the Walk-through and Handheld Metal Detector Standards and developing corresponding certification program requirements. This work is being performed by a panel of experts, comprised of practitioners from the field, researchers, testing experts, certification experts, and representatives from stakeholder organizations. The panel members will participate in four 2-day meetings over a 7-month time period with the goal of completing development of the standards and certification program requirements. It is anticipated that panel meetings will begin in early November 2009. Travel expenses and per diem will be reimbursed for all panel meetings; however, participation time will not be funded.
Vehicular Digital Multimedia Evidence Recording System Standard Special Technical Committee

This work is being performed by a Special Technical Committee (STC), comprised of practitioners from the field, researchers, testing experts, certification experts, and representatives from stakeholder organizations. The STC members will participate in four 2-day meetings over a 7-month time period with the goal of completing development of the standard and certification program requirements. It is anticipated that STC meetings will begin in November 2009. Travel expenses and per diem will be reimbursed for all STC meetings; however, participation time will not be funded.
