Energy Efficiency Program for Certain Commercial and Industrial Equipment: Public Meeting and Availability of the Framework Document for Residential Clothes Dryers and Room Air Conditioners
The Department of Energy (DOE or Department) is initiating the rulemaking and data collection process that could result in the establishment of amended energy conservation standards for residential clothes dryers and room air conditioners. Accordingly, the Department will hold an informal public meeting to discuss and receive comments on issues it will address in this rulemaking proceeding. The Department also encourages written comments on these subjects. To inform stakeholders and facilitate this process, DOE has prepared a Framework Document, which is available at: https://www.eere.energy.gov/buildings/ appliancestandards/.
National Electric Transmission Congestion Report
The following is a report by the Department of Energy (Department or DOE) on its August 2006 National Electric Transmission Congestion Study under section 216 of the Federal Power Act (FPA). This report and order designates two national interest electric transmission corridors: The Mid-Atlantic Area National Interest Electric Transmission Corridor (Docket No. 2007-OE-01); and the Southwest Area National Interest Electric Transmission Corridor (Docket No. 2007-OE- 02). A list of the acronyms used in this report and order, and maps of the two national interest electric transmission corridors are provided at the end of this order.
Hydrogen Storage Engineering Center of Excellence Pre-Solicitation Meeting
The Department of Energy (DOE) Hydrogen, Fuel Cells and Infrastructure Technologies Program is holding a pre-solicitation meeting on a planned Hydrogen Storage Engineering Center of Excellence on October 15, 2007 in San Antonio, Texas at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center at 3:30 p.m. CDT. A Web cast will also be available for anyone unable to attend the meeting in person. Detailed information regarding the meeting location, Web cast, and the solicitation materials for comment will be updated on the DOE Web site, https:// www.hydrogen.energy.gov/newsstoragecenter.html. At the meeting, DOE seeks questions and comments from the public on the draft solicitation materials that will be posted on this Web site. This information will be used in determining the scope of work of this new center of excellence and the associated solicitation, otherwise known as a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA). Questions and comments will also be accepted via e-mail. All of the questions received (from the meeting and via e-mail) and the associated answers provided at the meeting will be posted on this Web site after the meeting.
Agency Information Collection Activities: Submission for OMB Review; Comment Request; Correction
The EIA published a notice in the issue of Friday, September 28, 2007, (72 FR 55193) regarding the submission of the Electric Power Program to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and a three-year extension. The form EIA-826 was omitted from this notice. In FR Doc. E7-19256, beginning on page 55193, make the following correction: In the third column, SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION, the second paragraph is corrected to read: ``1. Forms EIA-411, 826, 860, 860M, 861 and 923, ``Electric Power Program.''
Privacy Act of 1974; Notice To Amend an Existing System of Records
As required by the Privacy Act of 1974, 5 U.S.C. 552a, and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-130, the Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Nuclear Security Administration (herein referred to collectively as ``DOE'') are publishing notice of a proposed amendment to an existing system of records. DOE proposes to amend the system of records DOE-11 ``Emergency Operations Notification Call List.'' This notice will increase the categories of individuals covered by the Emergency Operations Notification Call List, expand the categories of information to be collected, and ensure that the Emergency Operations Notification Call List is applicable to all DOE facilities and activities.
Revised Public Utility Filing Requirements for Electric Quarterly Reports
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is adopting an Electric Quarterly Report (EQR) Data Dictionary that collects in one document the definitions of certain terms and values used in filing EQR data, in conformance with Commission Order No. 2001, which established revised public utility filing requirements.
