For each award year, the Secretary publishes in the Federal Register a notice announcing the FAFSA information that an institution and an applicant may be required to verify, as well as the acceptable documentation for verifying FAFSA information. This is the notice for the 2020-2021 award year.

In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, ED is proposing an extension of an existing information collection.

This notice relates to the approved information collection under OMB control number 1820-0028.
