Notice of Submission for OMB Review; Office of Postsecondary Education; Talent Search (TS) Annual Performance Report
The Talent Search program provides Federal financial assistance in the form of discretionary grants to to help youth from disadvantaged backgrounds complete secondary education and enroll in and complete programs of postsecondary education; and to publicize the availability of, and facilitate the application for, student financial assistance for persons who seek to pursue postsecondary education. The U.S. Department of Education (Department) is requesting approval of a new TS Annual Performance Report (APR) form to collect annual performance data from projects funded by TS program grants.
Equity and Excellence Commission; Meeting
This notice sets forth the schedule and proposed agenda of an up-coming meeting of the Equity and Excellence Commission (Commission). The notice also describes the functions of the Commission. Notice of this meeting is required by section 10(a)(2) of the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) and is intended to notify the public of their opportunity to attend.
Applications for New Awards; State-Tribal Education Partnership (STEP) Pilot Grant Competition; Reopening the Fiscal Year 2012 Competition
On May 29, 2012, we published in the Federal Register (77 FR 31592) a notice inviting applications for the FY 2012 STEP Pilot Grant Competition. That notice established a July 13, 2012, deadline for transmittal of applications. We are reopening the competition for eligible applicants. Applications are due August 9, 2012.
