To provide the public with further opportunity to comment on the proposed rule, DHS will reopen the comment period for an additional 30 days. DHS will consider comments received during the entire public comment period in its development of a final rule.

The system also provides JAMRS with the ability to measure effectiveness of list purchases through ongoing analysis and to remove the names of individuals who are currently members of, or are enlisting in, the Armed Forces or who have asked that their names be removed from future recruitment lists. The rule facilitates the use of ADS-B for aircraft surveillance by FAA air traffic controllers to accommodate the expected increase in demand for air transportation.
