OSHA requests comment concerning its proposed extension of the information collection requirements specified by the Standard on 4,4'- Methylenedianiline (MDA) in Construction (29 CFR 1926.60). The Standard protects employees from the adverse health effects that may result from occupational exposure to MDA, including cancer, and liver and skin disease.

This rule invites comments on changing the incoming quality control requirements under the administrative rules and regulations of the California almond marketing order (order). The order regulates the handling of almonds grown in California and is administered locally by the Almond Board of California (Board). These changes would help minimize the risk of aflatoxin in almonds by removing inedible kernels from human consumption. Inedible almonds are poor quality kernels or pieces of defective kernels that may be contaminated with aflatoxin. This action is intended to improve the overall quality of almonds placed into consumer channels.

Pesticide Management and Disposal; Standards for Pesticide Containers and Containment

With this final rule, EPA is establishing regulations for the safe storage and disposal of pesticides as a means of protecting human health and the environment pursuant to the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act. This final rule establishes requirements for pesticide container design, and procedures, standards and label language to facilitate removal of pesticides from containers prior to disposal or recycling. This final rule also establishes requirements for containment of stationary pesticide containers and procedures for container refilling operations. In addition, in order to display the OMB control number for the information collection requirements contained in this final rule, EPA is amending the table of OMB approval numbers for EPA regulations that appears in 40 CFR part 9.
