Notice of Intent To Prepare an Environmental Impact Statement for Pacific Missile Range Facility and Kōke'e Park Geophysical Observatory Real Estate
Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 and regulations implemented by the Council on Environmental Quality, the Department of the Navy (DON) and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the DON and NASA announce their intent to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to evaluate the potential environmental effects associated with the continued long-term DoD use of 8,348 acres of State lands on Kauai, Hawaii for operational continuity and sustainment (in support of continued military training, testing, and facility operations) at the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF), and the continued long-term NASA use of 23 acres of State lands on Kaua[revaps]i, Hawaii in support of continued operations (including measurements of the Earth's rotation and local land motion) at K[omacr]ke[revaps]e Park Geophysical Observatory (KPGO).

Comments are requested concerning: whether the proposed collection of information is necessary for the proper performance of the functions of the Commission, including whether the information shall have practical utility; the accuracy of the Commission's burden estimate; ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information collected; ways to minimize the burden of the collection of information on the respondents, including the use of automated collection techniques or other forms of information technology; and ways to further reduce the information collection burden on small business concerns with fewer than 25 employees. The FCC may not conduct or sponsor a collection of information unless it displays a currently valid control number. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has received an application for the renewal of Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-19 and DPR-25, which authorizes Constellation Energy Generation, LLC (CEG, the applicant) to operate Dresden Nuclear Power Station (Dresden), Units 2 and 3. The renewed licenses would authorize the applicant to operate Dresden, Units 2 and 3, for an additional 20 years beyond the period specified in the current licenses. The current operating license for Dresden, Unit 2, expires December 22, 2029. The current operating license for Dresden, Unit 3, expires January 12, 2031.
