(1) A school nurse may rescreen any student who fails initial age appropriate school vision screening to confirm results before notification to student's parent or guardian of any impairment disclosed by the vision screening recommending further evaluation by an eye care professional.

(2) The LEA shall notify, in writing within 30 days from vision screening, a student's parent or guardian of any impairment disclosed by the vision screening recommending further evaluation by an eye care professional.
