The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is issuing final regulations pertaining to direct hire authority for certain acquisition positions. The purpose of this change is to conform OPM's regulations with recent changes in law.
Proposed Collection; Comment Request for Review of a Revised Information Collection: (OMB Control No. 3206-0228; Standard Form 3112)
In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (Pub. L. 104-13, May 22, 1995), this notice announces that the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) intends to submit to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) a request for review of a revised information collection. This information collection, ``CSRS/FERS Documentation in Support of Disability Retirement Application'' (OMB Control No. 3206-0228; Standard Form 3112), collects information from applicants for disability retirement so that OPM can determine whether to approve a disability retirement. The applicant will only complete Standard Forms 3112A and 3112C. Standard Forms 3112B, 3112D and 3112E will be completed by the immediate supervisor and the employing agency of the applicant.

In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (Pub. L. 104-13, May 22, 1995), this notice announces that the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) intends to submit to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) a request for review of a revised information collection. This information collection, ``Representative Payee Survey'' (OMB Control No. 3206-0208, Form RI 38-115), is used to collect information about how the benefits paid to a representative payee have been used or conserved for the benefit of the incompetent annuitant.
Senior Executive Service-Performance Review Board
Notice is hereby given of the appointment of members of the OPM Performance Review Board.
Suitability
The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is issuing proposed regulations to assist agencies in carrying out new requirements to reinvestigate individuals in public trust positions under Executive Order 13488, Granting Reciprocity on Excepted Service and Federal Contractor Employee Fitness and Reinvestigating Individuals in Positions of Public Trust, to ensure their continued employment is appropriate. This proposed rule would implement the suitability reinvestigation provisions of E.O. 13488.

This gives notice of OPM decisions granting authority to make appointments under Schedules A, B, and C in the excepted service as required by 5 CFR 213.103.
Submission for OMB Review; Request for Comments on a Revised Information Collection
In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (Pub. L. 104-13, May 22, 1995), this notice announces that the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) a request for review of a revised information collection. This information collection, ``Rollover Election'' (OMB Control No. 3206-0212, Form RI 38-117), is used to collect information from each payee affected by a change in the tax code so that OPM can make payment in accordance with the wishes of the payee. ``Rollover Information'' (OMB Control No. 3206-0212, Form RI 38-118), explains the election. ``Special Tax Notice Regarding Rollovers'' (OMB Control No. 3206-0212, Form RI 37-22), provides more detailed information.
