The Maritime Administration is updating its inventory of U.S.- flag launch barges. Additions, changes and comments to the list are requested. As authorized by Public Law 109-347, the Secretary of Transportation, as represented by the Maritime Administration, is authorized to make determinations permitting the use of foreign-flag anchor handling vessels in certain cases (and for a limited period of time) if no U.S.-flag vessels are found to be suitable and reasonably available.
TORP Terminal LP, Bienville Offshore Energy Terminal Liquefied Natural Gas Deepwater Port License Application; Final Amended Application Public Hearing and Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement

The Maritime Administration, in cooperation with the U.S. Coast Guard, announces the availability of the Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (FSEIS) for the TORP Terminal LP, Bienville Offshore Energy Terminal (BOET) Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Deepwater Port amended license application. The amended application describes an LNG deepwater port project that would be located in the Gulf of Mexico, in Main Pass block MP 258, approximately 63 miles south of Mobile Point, Alabama. The Maritime Administration and U.S. Coast Guard will hold a public meeting, and request public comments on matters relevant to the approval or denial of the amended license application. Publication of this notice begins a 30-day comment period and provides information on how to participate in the process.
