This AD was prompted by false simultaneous in-flight disengagement of automatic flight control system (AFCS) channels 1 and 2. This AD requires temporarily revising the existing Rotorcraft Flight Manual (RFM) for your helicopter. This AD also requires installing an AFCS software upgrade and concurrently removing that RFM revision. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
