National Standards for Traffic Control Devices; the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways; Request for Comment
The Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways (MUTCD) is incorporated in our regulations, approved by FHWA, and recognized as the national standard for traffic control devices used on all streets, highways, bikeways, and private roads open to public travel. This document asks for responses to a series of questions regarding the future direction of the MUTCD. Specific topic areas include target audience/intended user, content and organization, process for introducing new traffic control devices, and frequency of MUTCD editions.
Notice of Final Federal Agency Actions on Proposed Highways in Colorado
This notice announces actions taken by the FHWA and other Federal agencies that are final within the meaning of 23 U.S.C. 139(l)(1). The actions relate to the Colorado State Highway 470 (C-470) Corridor, Kipling Parkway to I-25 project located in the southern portion of the Denver metropolitan area in Colorado. Those actions grant approvals for the project.
Environmental Impact Statement; Pennington County, SD; Pennington County, Maine
The FHWA is issuing this notice to advise the public that we are rescinding the Notice of Intent (NOI) to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for roadway improvements proposed for South Rochford Road in Pennington County, South Dakota. The NOI was published in the Federal Register on January 30, 2012. A Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) was not released. This rescission is based on changes to the design standards that have brought the proposed action below the threshold of an EIS.
