Notice of Final Federal Agency Actions on Transportation Project in Nevada
This notice announces actions taken by the FHWA and other Federal agencies that are final within the meaning of 23 U.S.C. 139(l)(1). The actions relate to the Pyramid Way and McCarran Boulevard Intersection Improvement Project located in Sparks, Washoe County, Nevada. These actions grant licenses, permits, and approval of the project.
Notice To Rescind a Notice of Intent To Prepare a Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement; U.S. 231 Dubois County, IN
The FHWA is issuing this notice to advise the public that we are rescinding the Notice of Intent (NOI) to prepare a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) for improvements that were proposed for U.S. 231 Jasper Huntingburg project in Dubois County, Indiana. In March 2004, FHWA released the U.S. 231 Draft EIS. The NOI for the SEIS was published in the Federal Register on June 2, 2010.
Notice To Rescind a Notice of Intent To Prepare an Environmental Impact Statement for Transportation Improvements on I-95 in New London County, Connecticut
The FHWA is issuing this notice to advise the public that, effective immediately, we are rescinding the Notice of Intent (NOI) to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for proposed transportation improvements along the I-95 Corridor in New London County, CT. The NOI was published in the Federal Register (FR) on August 22, 2007 (FR Vol. 72, No. 162, p. 47119; FR Doc 07-4127).
Notice To Rescind a Notice of Intent to Prepare an Environmental Impact Statement for Transportation Improvements Along the Route 9 Corridor in Middlesex County, Connecticut
The FHWA is issuing this notice to advise the public that, effective immediately, we are rescinding the Notice of Intent (NOI) to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for proposed transportation improvements along the Route 9 Corridor located in the City of Middletown in Middlesex County, CT. The NOI was published in the Federal Register (FR) on August 9, 2002 (FR Vol. 67, No. 154, p. 51924; FR Doc 02-20170).
Designation of the Primary Freight Network
The FHWA is extending the deadline and comment period for the Designation of the highway Primary Freight Network (PFN) notice, which was published on November 19, 2013, at 78 FR 69520. On December 11, 2013, the FHWA published a notice to extend the comment period at 78 FR 75442. The revised comment period is set to close on January 17, 2014. The extension is based on input received from DOT stakeholders that the January 17 closing date does not provide sufficient time for submission of comments to the docket. The FHWA agrees that the deadline and the comment period should be extended. Therefore, the closing date for submission of comments is extended to February 15, 2014, which will provide others interested in commenting additional time to submit comments to the docket.

Final Federal Agency Actions on Proposed Highway in California; Limitation on Claims for Judicial Review of Actions by the California Department of Transportation
The FHWA, on behalf of the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), is issuing this notice to announce actions taken by Caltrans that are final within the meaning of 23 U.S.C. 139(l)(1). The actions relate to a proposed highway project on the State Routes (SR) 57/60 (57[post miles R4.3/R4.5 & R4.5/R4.8] 60[post miles R23.3/R26.5]) Confluence at Grand Avenue project in the County of Los Angeles, State of California. Those actions grant licenses, permits, and approvals for the project.
Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement, Jefferson County, West Virginia
In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended (NEPA), the US Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), intends to prepare a Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (SDEIS) and Supplemental Draft Section 4(f) Evaluation for proposed improvements to US Route 340 in Jefferson County, West Virginia.
Environmental Impact and Related Procedures
This final rule amends the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) joint procedures that implement the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) by adding new categorical exclusions (CE) for projects within an existing operational right-of-way and projects receiving limited Federal funding, as described in sections 1316 and 1317, respectively, of the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21).
