Notice of Intent To Extend Concession Contracts at Yellowstone National Park
Under the terms of its regulations and the applicable concession contracts, the National Park Service (NPS) notifies the public that it intends to extend each concession contract listed in the table below. NPS will extend the contracts until the date shown in the "Extension Expiration Date" column or until the effective date of a new contract, whichever comes first.
Powered Micromobility Devices
The National Park Service proposes a management framework for the use of powered micromobility devices within the National Park System. The proposed rule would define powered micromobility devices separately from motor vehicles, traditional bicycles, electric bicycles, and human powered coasting devices, and create rules for where and how they may be used in units of the National Park System. Examples of powered micromobility devices include electric scooters (e- scooters), hoverboards, and Segways.

Pursuant to the Wilderness Act of 1964, and in accordance with National Park Service (NPS) Management Policies 2006, the NPS intends to evaluate all previously unassessed lands within the following parks for their eligibility for inclusion in the national wilderness preservation system: Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, Everglades National Park, Gulf Islands National Seashore, Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, Little River Canyon National Preserve, and Virgin Islands National Park.
Minor Boundary Revision at Golden Gate National Recreation Area
The boundary of Golden Gate National Recreation Area (Park) is modified to include 211.7 acres of land located in in San Mateo County, California, immediately adjoining the Park boundary. The National Park Service intends to purchase the properties in fee from the Peninsula Open Space Trust, a non-profit land trust.
Whiskeytown Unit, Whiskeytown-Shasta-Trinity National Recreation Area; Bicycling
The National Park Service proposes to amend the special regulations for Whiskeytown National Recreation Area to allow bicycle use on approximately 79.8 miles of multi-use trails. National Park Service regulations require promulgation of a special regulation to allow bicycles on new trails outside of developed areas and for existing trails that require construction or significant modification to accommodate bicycles.
Submission of U.S. Nomination to the World Heritage List
The Department of the Interior has submitted a nomination to the World Heritage List for Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. This is the third notice required by the Department of the Interior's World Heritage Program regulations.
