The Kerr County Attorney's Office has completed an inventory of human remains, in consultation with the appropriate Indian tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations, and has determined that there is a cultural affiliation between the human remains and present-day Indian tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The National Park Service (NPS) has prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Alcatraz Ferry Embarkation project. The project would establish a new, long-term ferry embarkation site for passenger service between the northern San Francisco waterfront and Alcatraz Island. It would also establish occasional special ferry service between the selected Alcatraz ferry embarkation site and the existing Fort Baker pier, as well as between Fort Mason and other destinations in San Francisco Bay.

The National Park Service (NPS) and the Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) are jointly preparing a North Cascades Ecosystem Grizzly Bear Restoration Plan and Environmental Impact Statement (Plan/EIS) to determine how to restore the grizzly bear to the North Cascades ecosystem (NCE), a portion of its historical range.

This notice announces the annual meeting of the Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area Advisory Council. The agenda includes updates from the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, the Boston Harbor Island Alliance, and the National Park Service about project, program, marketing, and water transportation plans for the 2015 Season. There will also be a discussion about the Council's mission, goals, and community outreach initiative. The Council will hold elections for officers and nominate Council representatives to the Boston Harbor Islands Partnership. Superintendent Giles Parker will also give updates about park operations and planning efforts.
