Notice of Potential for Oil Shale Development: Call for Nominations-Oil Shale Research, Development and Demonstration Program
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) solicits the nomination of parcels to be leased for Research, Development and Demonstration (R, D and D) of oil shale recovery technologies in the States of Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming.
Alaska Native Claims Selection
As required by 43 CFR 2650.7(d), notice is hereby given that an appealable decision approving the conveyance of surface and subsurface estates for certain lands pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act will be issued to Doyon, Limited for 42.65 acres located northwesterly of the Native village of Holy Cross, Alaska. Notice of the decision will also be published four times in the Anchorage Daily News.

As required by 43 CFR 2650.7(d), notice is hereby given that an appealable decision approving the surface estate of certain lands for conveyance pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act will be issued to Newtok Corporation, Inc. As required by 43 CFR 2650.7(d), notice is hereby given that the decision approving lands for conveyance to Doyon, Limited, notice of which was published in the Federal Register on July 30, 2009, 74 FR 38041, 38042, will be modified to include Secs. 5 and 6, T. 11 S., R. 17 E., Kateel River Meridian, Alaska. These sections were inadvertently omitted from the lands approved for conveyance in the July 30, 2009 decision. There is no change to the amount of acreage approved for conveyance in the decision of July 30, 2009, as these two sections were included in the acreage figures.
