The Occupational Safety and Health Administration announces that the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) extended its approval for a number of information collection requirements found in sections of 29 CFR parts 1910 and 1926, and other regulations and requirements. OSHA sought approval of these requirements under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA-95), and, as required by that Act, is announcing the approval numbers and expiration dates for these requirements.

OSHA solicits public comments concerning its proposal to extend OMB approval of the information collection requirements contained in its standard on Forging Machines (29 CFR 1910.218). The paperwork provisions of the Forging Machines Standard specify requirements for developing and maintaining inspection records and for identifying manually operated valves and switches.

OSHA solicits public comments concerning its proposal to extend OMB approval of the information collection requirements specified in the Standard on Material Hoists, Personnel Hoists, and Elevators (29 CFR 1926.552).

OSHA invites interested parties to participate in an informal stakeholder meeting on emergency response and preparedness. OSHA plans to use the information obtained at the stakeholder meeting as it considers the development of a proposed standard for emergency response and preparedness.
