The Department of Labor (DOL) hereby announces the submission of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) sponsored information collection request (ICR) titled, ``Concrete and Masonry Construction Standard'' to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval for continued use in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (Pub. L. 104-13, 44 U.S.C. chapter 35).
Compliance Directive for Fall Protection in Residential Construction

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is issuing compliance directive STD 03-11-002 Fall Protection in Residential Construction. This directive rescinds compliance directive STD 03-00-001, Plain Language Revision of OSHA Instruction STD 3.1, Interim Fall Protection Compliance Guidelines for Residential Construction, effective on June 18, 1999. There continue to be high numbers of fall-related fatalities in residential construction. The Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health, the National Association of Home Builders, and the Occupational Safety and Health State Plan Association have recommended the withdrawal of directive STD 03-00-001.
Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories; Supplier's Declaration of Conformity

On October 19, 2010, OSHA published a notice of proposed interpretation entitled Interpretation of OSHA's Provisions for Feasible Administrative or Engineering Controls of Occupational Noise, giving interested parties 60 days to comment. The comment period is being extended by 90 days to give interested parties additional time to assess the impact of the proposed interpretation and submit comments.
