Notice on Reallotment of Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Title I Formula Allotted Funds for Dislocated Worker Activities for Program Year (PY) 2011
Public Law 105-220, the Workforce Investment Act of 1998, requires the Secretary of Labor (Secretary) to conduct reallotment of dislocated worker formula allotted funds based on State financial reports submitted as of the end of the prior program year. This notice publishes the dislocated worker PY 2011 funds for recapture by State and the amount to be reallotted to eligible States.
Agency Information Collection Activities; Submission for OMB Review; Comment Request; Refuge Alternatives for Underground Coal Mines
The Department of Labor (DOL) is submitting the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) sponsored information collection request (ICR) revision titled, ``Refuge Alternatives for Underground Coal Mines,'' to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval for use in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) of 1995 (44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.).
Proposed Extension of Existing Information Collection; Underground Retorts
The Department of Labor, as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, conducts a pre-clearance consultation program to provide the general public and Federal agencies with an opportunity to comment on proposed and continuing collections of information in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. This program helps to ensure that requested data can be provided in the desired format, reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized, collection instruments are clearly understood, and the impact of collection requirements on respondents can be properly assessed. Currently, the Mine Safety and Health Administration is soliciting comments concerning the extension of the information collection for 30 CFR 57.22401(b). The Office of Management and Budget last approved this information collection request on October 13, 2009.

This program helps to assure that requested data can be provided in the desired format, reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized, collection instruments are clearly understood, and the impact of collection requirements on respondents can be properly assessed. Currently, the Mine Safety and Health Administration is soliciting comments concerning the extension of the information collection for 30 CFR 75.215, 75.220(a)(1), 75.221(a), 75.222(a), and 75.223(a), (b), and (d). OMB last approved this information collection request on September 28, 2009. The package expires on September 30, 2012.
