The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, invites the general public and other Federal agencies to take this opportunity to comment on a proposed revised information collection. In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, this notice seeks comments concerning the e-Grants application used to determine whether mitigation activities proposed for funding meets eligibility criteria. To better reflect all of the mitigation grant programs using the mitigation e-Grants application, the Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) e-Grant Program, the Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) e-Grant Program and the Repetitive Flood Claims (RFC) e-Grant Program have been combined and renamed to be called the Mitigation Grant Program/e-Grants.

Suspension of Community Eligibility
This rule identifies communities, where the sale of flood insurance has been authorized under the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), that are scheduled for suspension on the effective dates listed within this rule because of noncompliance with the floodplain management requirements of the program. If the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) receives documentation that the community has adopted the required floodplain management measures prior to the effective suspension date given in this rule, the suspension will not occur and a notice of this will be provided by publication in the Federal Register on a subsequent date.

Abstract: The purpose of the proposed survey is to measure FEMA's Public Assistance (PA) program performances and achievements against customer service standards of Executive Order 12862 of September 11, 1993, as well as Government Performance and Results Act of 1993 (GPRA) objectivities. Survey results are used to gauge satisfaction levels of PA customers, and make improvements to disaster services that focus on customer satisfaction and program effectiveness. National Response Framework
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is accepting comments on the revised National Response Plan now known as the National Response Framework (NRF). The NRF was drafted to build upon the current National Response Plan, incorporate lessons-learned from recent disasters, and to articulate more clearly the roles of the States, tribal, and local jurisdictions and the private sector to guide a successful response to natural disasters or terrorist attacks.

This change was included to capture the change in burden hour cost to respondents. Title: FEMA Mitigation Success Story Database. OMB Number: 1660-0089. Abstract: FEMA uses the information in the database to document and disseminate first-hand experiences of State, communities, private businesses, and homeowners that incorporate mitigation and flood insurance activities that are cost effective and promote strategic partnerships. By sharing information, communities and individuals can learn about available federal programs to support the implementation of noteworthy local activities.
