Safety Zone; Potomac River, Between Charles County, MD and King George County, VA
The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for certain waters in the Potomac River. This action is necessary to provide for the safety of persons, property, and the marine environment from the potential safety hazards associated with construction operations at the new Governor Harry W. Nice/Senator Thomas ``Mac'' Middleton Memorial (US-301) Bridge, which will occur from 7 a.m. on March 22, 2021, through 9 p.m. on March 26, 2021. This rule will prohibit persons and vessels from being in the safety zone unless authorized by the Captain of the Port MarylandNational Capital Region or a designated representative.
Great Lakes Pilotage Advisory Committee; Vacancies
The U.S. Coast Guard is requesting nominations for persons interested in serving as a member of the Great Lakes Pilotage Advisory Committee (Committee). The Great Lakes Pilotage Advisory Committee provides advice and makes recommendations to the Secretary of Homeland Security through the U.S. Coast Guard Commandant on matters relating to Great Lakes pilotage, including review of proposed Great Lakes pilotage regulations and policies.
