Coast Guard May 17, 2019 – Federal Register Recent Federal Regulation Documents

The Coast Guard is proposing to establish a temporary safety zone for certain waters of the Willamette River. This action is necessary to provide for the safety of life on these navigable waters while Oregon Department of Environmental Quality oversees the construction of an engineered sediment cap and other remedial environmental actions. This proposed rulemaking would prohibit persons and vessels from being in the safety zone unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Columbia River or a designated representative. The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for navigable waters within a 280-foot radius of the launch site located near West Huff Street, Waterloo, NY. This safety zone is intended to restrict vessels from portions of the Seneca-Cayuga Canal during the Village of Waterloo Memorial Day fireworks display. The safety zone is necessary to protect mariners and vessels from potential hazards associated with a fireworks display. Entry of vessels of persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port Buffalo or a designated representative.
