Energy Conservation Program: Notice of Petition for Waiver of GE Appliances, a Haier Company From the Department of Energy Room Air Conditioner Test Procedure and Notice of Grant of Interim Waiver
This notice announces receipt of and publishes a petition for waiver and interim waiver from GE Appliances, a Haier Company, which seeks a waiver for specified room air conditioner basic models from the U.S. Department of Energy (``DOE'') test procedure used for determining the efficiency of room air conditioners. DOE also gives notice of an Interim Waiver Order that requires GEA to test and rate the specified room air conditioner basic models in accordance with the alternate test procedure set forth in the Interim Waiver Order. DOE solicits comments, data, and information concerning GEA's petition and suggested alternate test procedure so as to inform DOE's final decision on GEA's waiver request.
Equipment and Services Produced or Provided by Certain Entities Identified as Risks to National Security
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (Commission) seeks comments on the potential risks to the bulk electric system posed by the use of equipment and services produced or provided by certain entities identified as risks to national security. In addition, the Commission seeks comments on strategies to mitigate any potential risks posed by such telecommunications equipment and services, including but not limited to potential modifications to the Critical Infrastructure Protection Reliability Standards.

This notice announces an open meeting of the Secretary of Energy Advisory Board (SEAB). The SEAB was reestablished pursuant to the Federal Advisory Committee Act. This notice is provided in accordance with the Act.
