Trunkline LNG Export, LLC; Application for Long-Term Authorization to Export Liquefied Natural Gas Produced from Domestic Natural Gas Resources to Non-Free Trade Agreement Countries for a 25-Year Period
The Office of Fossil Energy (FE) of the Department of Energy (DOE) gives notice of receipt of an application (Application) filed on January 10, 2013, by Trunkline LNG Export, LLC (TLNG Export), requesting long-term, multi-contract authorization to export domestically produced liquefied natural gas (LNG) in an amount up to of 15 million metric tons per annum (mtpa), the equivalent of 730 billion cubic feet (Bcf) per year (Bcf/y) of natural gas (equal to 2 Bcf/day of natural gas), from the LNG terminal in Lake Charles, Louisiana (Lake Charles Terminal). TLNG Export requests this authorization for a 25- year term commencing on the earlier of the date of first export or 10 years from the date the requested authorization is granted.
