Extension of Public Comment Period; Request for Information on Addressing Significant Disproportionality Under Section 618(d) of the Individuals With Disabilities Education Act
On June 19, 2014, we published in the Federal Register (79 FR 35154) a request for information (RFI) seeking comment on actions that the Department should take to address significant disproportionality based on race and ethnicity in the identification, placement, and discipline of children with disabilities. The RFI established a July 21, 2014, deadline for the submission of written comments. We are extending the comment period to July 28, 2014.

Ford Federal Direct Loan Program, the Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education Grant Program, and the Iraq and Afghanistan Service Grant Program for the 2014-2015 Award Year
The Secretary announces deadline dates for the receipt of documents and other information from applicants and institutions participating in certain Federal student aid programs authorized under title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended (HEA), for the 2014-2015 award year. The Federal student aid programs covered by this deadline date notice are the Federal Pell Grant (Pell Grant), William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan), Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant, and Iraq and Afghanistan Service Grant programs. These programs, administered by the U.S. Department of Education (Department), provide financial assistance to students attending eligible postsecondary educational institutions to help them pay their educational costs. Deadline and Submission Dates: See Tables A and B at the end of this notice.
