Change of Publication Manner for Invention Licenses
Currently, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) publishes notices of prospective exclusive, co-exclusive or partially exclusive domestic or foreign licenses of Government owned inventions in the Federal Register. NIST is announcing that it will begin publishing such notices at FEDBIZOPPS.GOV (https://www.fbo.gov/), providing opportunity for filing written objections within at least a 15-day period.

Meeting of the Visiting Committee on Advanced Technology
National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)'s Visiting Committee on Advanced Technology (VCAT or Committee) will meet on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time, and Wednesday, October 17, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Mountain Time. The VCAT is composed of not fewer than 9 members appointed by the NIST Director, eminent in such fields as business, research, new product development, engineering, labor, education, management consulting, environment, and international relations.
Announcing Request for Nominations for Lightweight Cryptographic Algorithms
This notice solicits nominations from any interested party for candidate algorithms to be considered for lightweight cryptographic standards.
