In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, this notice announces that the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) intends to request an extension and revision to a currently approved information collection procedure for the Trade Adjustment Assistance for Farmers program as described in 7 CFR Part 1580.

This notice establishes the aggregate quantity of 250,383 metric tons, raw value, of sugar that may enter the United States Customs Territory from Mexico during fiscal year (FY) 2006 under the market access provisions of Chapter 7, Annex 703.2 of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) under subheadings 1701.11.10, 1701.12.10, 1701.91.10, 1701.99.10, 1702.90.10, and 2106.90.44 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS).
Affirmation of Total Amounts of the Fiscal Year 2006 Tariff-Rate Quotas for Raw Cane Sugar and Certain Imported Sugars, Syrups, and Molasses (Refined Sugar)
This notice affirms determinations announced by the Secretary of Agriculture on August 12, August 19, September 9, and December 2, 2005, that an aggregate quantity of 1,751,329 metric tons raw value of sugar may be entered under the tariff-rate quota (TRQ) provisions of Additional U.S. Note 5(a) of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS) during fiscal year (FY) 2006. The following TRQ quantities were established for entry: 1,498,212 metric tons raw value of raw sugar under subheading 1701.11.10 of the HTS, and 253,117 metric tons raw value of certain sugars, syrups, and molasses under subheadings 1701.12.10, 1701.91.10, 1701.99.10, 1702.90.10, and 2106.90.44 of the HTS.
Trade Adjustment Assistance for Farmers; Correction
The Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) published a document in the Federal Register of November 8, 2005, concerning the termination of petitions for trade adjustment assistance (TAA) that were filed by shrimp producers in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas. The document did not contain information regarding all the states that were also terminated.
Assessment of Fees for Dairy Import Licenses for the 2006 Tariff-Rate Import Quota Year
This notice announces that the fee to be charged for the 2006 tariff-rate quota (TRQ) year for each license issued to a person or firm by the Department of Agriculture authorizing the importation of certain dairy articles which are subject to tariff-rate quotas set forth in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS) will be $150.00 per license.
Notice of Request for Extension of a Currently Approved Information Collection
In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, this notice announces the Foreign Agricultural Service's (FAS) intention to request an extension for a currently approved information collection. This information collection is required in petitions filed with the Foreign Agricultural Service for emergency relief from duty-free imports of perishable products under section 204(d) of the Andean Trade Promotion and Drug Eradication Act.
WTO Agricultural Safeguard Trigger Levels
This notice lists the updated quantity trigger levels for products, which may be subject to additional import duties under the safeguard provisions of the WTO Agreement on Agriculture. Beginning this year, the method of determining these triggers has been modified to exclude trade from countries that are not subject to WTO safeguards. This notice also includes the relevant period applicable for the trigger levels on each of the listed products.

Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee for Trade and the Agricultural Technical Advisory Committees for Trade; Reestablishment and Nominations
Pursuant to the Federal Advisory Committee Act, notice is hereby given that the Secretary of Agriculture (Secretary), in coordination with the United States Trade Representative (USTR), intends to reestablish the Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee (APAC) for Trade and the six existing Agricultural Technical Advisory Committees (ATAC) for Trade. The Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) is requesting nominations for persons to serve on these seven committees.
The Sugar Re-Export Program, the Sugar-Containing Products Re-Export Program, and the Polyhydric Alcohol Program
This proposed rule would implement Chapter 17 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), Additional U.S. Note 6, which authorizes entry of raw cane sugar under subheading 1701.11.20 of the HTS for the production of polyhydric alcohols, except polyhydric alcohols for use as a substitute for sugar in human food consumption, or to be refined and re-exported in refined form or in sugar-containing products, or to be substituted for domestically produced raw cane sugar that has been or will be exported. The proposed rule would totally revise the current regulation at 7 CFR part 1530, effective February 12, 1999.
