Agency Information Collection Activities; Extension and Revision of Collection; Consumer Focus Groups and Other Qualitative Studies
As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC or Commission) announces that the Commission has submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) a request for extension of approval of a collection of information from persons who may voluntarily participate in consumer focus groups. CPSC has also requested a revision of that collection. The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) previously approved the collection of information under Control Number 3041-0136. OMB's most recent extension of approval will expire on March 31, 2024. On November 28, 2023, CPSC published a notice in the Federal Register to announce the agency's intention to seek extension of approval of the collection of information. The Commission received no comments. Therefore, by publication of this notice, the Commission announces that CPSC has submitted to the OMB a request for extension of approval of that collection of information.

In this document, the Commission publishes its semiannual regulatory flexibility agenda. In addition, this document includes an agenda of regulations that the Commission expects to develop or review during the next 12 months. This document meets the requirements of the Regulatory Flexibility Act and Executive Order 12866.
Notice of Availability of Updated ASTM Standard Under the Portable Fuel Container Safety Act
In August 2023, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (Commission or CPSC) determined under the Portable Fuel Container Safety Act of 2020 (PFCSA) that ASTM F3429/F3429M-23 is a consumer product safety standard that impedes the propagation of flames into pre-filled portable fuel containers, and therefore incorporated the voluntary standard by reference as a mandatory rule. ASTM has since notified the Commission that it has revised this voluntary standard. CPSC seeks comment on whether the revision meets the PFCSA's requirements for adoption in the mandatory rule.
Safety Standard Addressing Blade-Contact Injuries on Table Saws; Notice of Opportunity for Oral Presentations
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (Commission or CPSC) will be providing an opportunity for interested parties to make oral presentations on the supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking (SNPR) the Commission issued regarding a safety standard addressing blade- contact injuries on table saws. Presentations will be part of the rulemaking record.
