Because the terms of the members of the Michigan Advisory Committee are expiring on January 28, 2017, the United States Commission on Civil Rights hereby invites any individual who is eligible to be appointed to apply. The memberships are exclusively for the Michigan Advisory Committee, and applicants must be residents of the Michigan to be considered. Letters of interest must be received by the Midwestern Regional Office of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights no later than November 15, 2016. Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the rules and regulations of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (Commission) and the Federal Advisory Committee Act that the Wisconsin Advisory Committee (Committee) will hold a meeting on Monday, November 07, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. CST for the purpose of discussing testimony received regarding hate crime in the state, in preparation to issue a civil rights report to the Commission on the topic.

The purpose of each planning meeting is to discuss project planning for the Committee's civil rights review.

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the rules and regulations of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (Commission) and the Federal Advisory Committee Act that the Kansas Advisory Committee (Committee) will hold a meeting on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. CDT. The meeting will include an orientation for new members, a discussion of completion and publication of the Committee's report regarding voting rights in the state, and a discussion of other current civil rights concerns in Kansas for future consideration.
