The National Advisory Council for Healthcare Research and Quality (the Council) advises the Secretary of HHS (Secretary) and the Director of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) with respect to activities proposed or undertaken to carry out AHRQ's statutory mission. AHRQ produces evidence to make health care safer, higher quality, more accessible, equitable, and affordable, and works within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and with other partners to make sure that the evidence is understood and used. Potential Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS®) Survey on Prenatal and Childbirth Care Experiences in Ambulatory and Inpatient Settings: Request for Information
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) invites public comment in response to this Request for Information (RFI) about a potential Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS[supreg]) survey to assess patients' prenatal care and childbirth care experiences in ambulatory and inpatient care settings. Currently, no CAHPS instrument is available that is specifically designed to measure prenatal and childbirth care from the patient's perspective in these settings. Accordingly, this RFI seeks comments regarding methodologically sound approaches to assessing prenatal and childbirth care experiences in healthcare settings about topics such as communication with providers, respect, access to services, and patients' perceptions of bias in receiving care. This RFI also seeks comments about any (1) existing patient experience surveys or survey items that might be incorporated into public domain CAHPS ambulatory and inpatient prenatal and childbirth experience surveys; and, (2) special considerations or concerns associated with the collection of such information. This RFI will help inform the development of scientifically sound surveys to potentially measure the experience of patients receiving prenatal and childbirth care.

Challenge Competition: Announcement of AHRQ Challenge on Integrating Healthcare System Data With Systematic Review Findings
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is announcing a challenge competition to explore the resources and infrastructure needed to integrate real-world data from healthcare systems into systematic review findings. This healthcare systems data can augment study findings synthesized in systematic reviews in a number of ways, including by filling evidence gaps identified in the systematic review to strengthen the available evidence, and by examining the applicability of systematic review findings to real-world populations, including population subgroups not examined in published studies. Ultimately, this work will help AHRQ understand if and how sources of data and information outside of traditional systematic reviews, particularly from healthcare systems themselves, could be used alongside systematic reviews to improve healthcare decision making, healthcare delivery and potentially patient outcomes. This challenge competition will start on (September 26, 2022) and will be completed in two phases, with cash prizes awarded at the end of Phase 2 to all of those proceeding to Phase 2 and to the winners of Phase 2. The winner and runner-up from Phase 2 will be posted on the AHRQ website.

Request for Information on Person-Centered Care Planning for Multiple Chronic Conditions (MCC)
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) seeks public comment about comprehensive, longitudinal, person-centered care planning for people with Multiple Chronic Conditions (MCC). Specifically, the RFI seeks comment on the current state of comprehensive, longitudinal, person-centered care planning for people at risk for or living with MCC across settings of care (e.g., health systems, primary care, home, and other ambulatory practices), including existing models of person-centered care planning, their current scale, and barriers and facilitators to implementation.
