Announcement of the Priority Grant Competition Effective Immediately
The Agency announces its ongoing Priority Grant Competitions. The Priority Grant Competitions are restricted to projects that fit specific themes or topics identified by USIP as a priority. The current Priority Grant Competitions are outlined below. Reassessing Peacebuilding in Uncertain TimesIn this uncertain and fluid context, USIP is inviting innovative proposals from U.S.-based academic institutions, research and practitioner organizations, and others for collaborative projects that reflect on, help clarify, and flesh out one or more key issues and propose new approaches and responses to peacebuilding challenges. United States Institute of Peace (USIP) is intending to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) on June 30, 2015, for Facility Management Services. The following information provides background information for the intended RFP as well as high level view of the ``Expected Scope of Services.'' Also included with this notice is a summary of estimated key dates to enable appropriate planning by the vendor community. The purpose of this notice is to provide early awareness of this impending RFP in our effort to support broad and fair competition for this procurement. Call for Proposals for a Micro Support Program on International Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding For Immediate Release
Micro Support Program on International Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding. The United States Institute of Peace (USIP) requests proposals to develop and manage a new micro support initiative for projects undertaken at institutions of higher learning and public libraries in the United States. The program will require the contractor to design and implement a formal competition, review and recommend projects for funding, and provide financial and report management oversight. Deadline: Friday, May 11, 2012 at 3 p.m. EDT.

Announcement of a Formal Evaluation of the Annual Grant Competition (Formerly Known as the Unsolicited Grant Initiative); Effective Immediately
Conduct an evaluation to assess the contribution and impact of the work of its Annual Grant Competition Program (formerly unsolicited grant program) from 1996-2006. USIP seeks an assessment of the program's effectiveness in advancing the Institute's mission to ``prevent and resolve violent international conflicts, promote post- conflict stability and development, and increase conflict management capacity, tools, and intellectual capital worldwide.'' The evaluation seeks to address the following concerns: (1) Demographic data of organizations and individuals funded by USIP (670 grantees); (2) Accountability of grantees; (3) Impact of USIP grants on the grantees and the professional field; (4) Perception of Annual Grant Competition Program at home and abroad. The fixed-price contract of $50,000 will be awarded to a not-for- profit organization. Deadline: Received by July 28, 2008, 5 p.m. Proposal must include: Letter of Intent; Proof of non-profit status; Demonstrated knowledge of the conflict management field; Summary of proposed evaluation methodologies and techniques; Two examples of completed evaluation efforts; CVs of lead investigator and team members.
