Rarity Pointe Commercial Recreation and Residential Development on Tellico Reservoir, Loudon and Monroe Counties, Tennessee
The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is amending its September 10, 2003, Record of Decision (ROD) for the Rarity Pointe Commercial Recreation and Residential Development on Tellico Reservoir, Loudon and Monroe Counties, Tennessee Final Environmental Impact Statement (2003 Rarity Pointe FEIS). In 2012, WindRiver Management LLC (WindRiver) purchased the Rarity Pointe development and requested that TVA consider modifications to the original development plan. In July 2017, TVA completed a supplemental environmental assessment analyzing the potential impacts of the proposed modifications. This amended ROD incorporates TVA's decisions relating to the modifications.
Multiple Reservoir Land Management Plans
The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has decided to adopt proposed reservoir land management plans (RLMPs) for the 138,321.4 acres of TVA-managed public land on eight reservoirs in Alabama, Kentucky, and Tennessee: Chickamauga, Fort Loudoun, Great Falls, Kentucky, Nickajack, Normandy, Wheeler and Wilson. TVA is also revising its Comprehensive Valleywide Land Plan (CVLP) to incorporate the information included in the eight RLMPs.
Freedom of Information Act Regulations
The Tennessee Valley Authority issues this final rule amending its Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) regulations to incorporate the statutory changes made to the FOIA by the FOIA Improvement Act of 2016 (Act). The TVA's FOIA regulations provide the procedures by which the public may request records from TVA, and the policies and procedures by which TVA provides such records to the public upon written request. TVA is updating its regulations to incorporate the procedural requirements of the Act.
