Volunteer Language Testing Scores System
As required under the Privacy Act of 1974, (5 U.S.C. 552a), as amended, the Peace Corps is giving notice of a new system of records, Volunteer Language Testing Scores System.
Proposed Routine Use; Request for Public Comment
The Peace Corps proposes to adopt a new routine use that would permit disclosure of Peace Corps records governed by the Privacy Act when reasonably necessary to respond to, prevent, minimize, or remedy, harm that may result from an agency data breach or compromise.

Freedom of Information Act Administration
The Peace Corps is amending its Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) regulations, to permit requesters to use electronic mail when submitting requests, and to increase copy fees to 15 cents per page. The first revision will provide the public with more efficient FOIA responses, and the second revision will cover the costs of materials and upkeep for photocopying services.

The Peace Corps' Office of the Inspector General wishes to collect feedback on the efficiency and effectiveness of the Peace Corps medical clearance process. The Office of the Inspector General will contact the former applicants by e-mail, telephone or mail and will request them to complete an online or paper survey in which they will share information on their experience completing the medical clearance portion of the Peace Corps application process. A small percentage of these applicants will also be contacted for telephone interviews.

Claims Against Government Under Federal Tort Claims Act
The Peace Corps is revising its regulations concerning claims filed under the Federal Tort Claims Act. These changes update Peace Corps' address, as well as authority cited in the regulation. Revisions also identify a new policy under which the Chief Financial Officer, rather than the Director of the Peace Corps, will have authority to approve claims for amounts under $5000.
