The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is issuing an exemption in response to a November 8, 2018, request from Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon) to allow Exelon to submit a sufficient license renewal application for Clinton Power Station, Unit 1, at least 3 years prior to the expiration of the existing license and still receive timely renewal protection.
